Flaming penis (Split from Terrelle Pryor Thread)

No no no. Just so we are clear here, pads do not increase height, they increase muscle and girth. Socks increase height. Maybe athletic supporters.

I never want this to end. I would personally think that a RB would want to have a low center of gravity...or be a Mack truck like Brandon Jacobs and Ironhead Heyward (a FB).

Has a person with socks on ever been shorter than a person without socks?

In football, there isn't. If we are talking baseball or wrestling, sure. But not football. You don't need height to excel in football. Danny Woodhead says hello.

You're also going to the wrong end of the spectrum... Smaller RB's excel because they are quicker, more elusive. What positives to big back's (such as Terrelle Pryor ) have? Please do give me your enlightening input.

Listed at 6'4" Brandon Jacobs is the tallest running back currently in the NFL.

And Brandon Jacobs and Calvin Hill, both at 6'4", are the tallest NFL players to ever have 1000-yard rushing seasons.

At 6"3", there are a couple more: Chris Brown, Larry Csonka, Sam Cunningham, Eric Dickerson, Eddie George, Cookie Gilchrist, Steven Jackson, Chuck Muncie, James Wilder

Only 1 person 6'6" or taller has ever rushed for more than 180 yards in a season--and it was a QB (Josh Freeman, 2010, with 364 yards).

Not looking good to have a 6'6" RB...:tongue2:

(And please don't try to compare Pryor's running style with anyone like Jacobs, Csonka, Cunningham, George, Jackson, Muncie, Wilder, et al.)

The question was not "name another 6ft 6in tall RB", it was "name another RB around 6ft 6in". Despite what you may think, 6ft 6in and 6ft isn't all that much of a difference.
Holy. Fucking. Shit.

Lets hope so.

Well for one they are taller, and thus harder to tackle. Two, I would say that because nobody is expecting a RB to be tall, they have the element of surprise on their side.

:slappy: Stop it... You can't honestly believe that... God damn. Have you ever considered stand-up comedy?

Taller players are harder to tackle? Really? You ever try to tackle a stump. I'm thinking along the lines of Robert Newhouse. Try to tackle someone that is built like that then tell me taller guys are harder to tackle.
