FOX BCS Coverage...Thoughts?

Am I the only that noticed as if there was a drop of water or condensation/fog on their field camera when the bands were performing and when the coin flip occurred?

It seemed like it was happening on multiple cameras. I actually wiped the TV screen once it seemed to show up on different camera angles - but it wasn't my TV screen. :tongue2:

ABC's High Def channel sucks (at least around here). I couldn't even watch the Saturday games on HD without constant audio pops (every few seconds). I was barely able to watch the OSU/tsun game on HD. I don't know if it is ABC or just the local feed.

Regardless, I have had (knock on wood) no trouble with the Fox HD. It doesn't cut in and out from HD to standard the way ABC always has. So, for me that makes the Fox coverage much better regardless of any other critisims.

Same here. I'm on satellite but for some reason my ABC video is just awful. Looks like a tired old VHS tape. FOX is clear as a bell so I'm not sad to see them have the game.

I have never seen so many replays of a fumble that when Fox replayed the same cycle of angles over and over and over again.
Ditto. I think there were 4 camera angles - 2 were completely worthless, 1 was decent and 1 was great. They played all 4, then they kept looping the 2 worthless ones until the finally played the decent one once.

I'd have gone crazy if it weren't for TiVo. :)

The announcers up until last night have been not too bad in my book. But my gosh. Howie and Terry were HORRIBLE. I swear they talked about the actual game for no more than 50% of the air time. The rest of the time they were talking about Terry's ACT scores or cutting his hair.

Thank god they aren't announcing our game.

What do you expect from two guys who follow the NFL the other 364 days of the year?

Seemed to me that Howie was getting word in his earpiece to tone Terry down a bit. They'd start in on some tangent but then Howie would just abruptly move on with the game.

I like Long, just don't care for Bradshaw's antics.

Agree... FOX needs to somehow get some regular season games next year to get their announcers tuned up for the bowl games... not sure how they can get that done with all the ABC/ESPN and CBS contracts and the Big10 creating their own network.

The Big10 Network is a Fox enterprise.
