Those scheduling decisions all seem OK to me, but it doesn’t say what week will feature The Game.

Ohio State Makes Schedule Change For 2024 Season, Replaces Southern Mississippi with Akron For Season Opener
Ohio State football announced it will face Akron in its 2024 season opener instead of Southern Miss.
Per a release from the athletic department, Ohio State and Southern Mississippi mutually agreed to cancel the game to modify their respective schedules.
An updated 2024 schedule is below.

Just sayin': Not a real tough non-conference at all. MAC teams Akron is currently 2-9 and W. Michigan is currently 4-7. Sun Belt team Marshall is currently 5-6. These aren't even the best lower tier teams in their conferences. scUM might have had a tougher non-conference schedule the last couple years; and we laughed at their non-conference schedules. Yeah, they are 3 cupcakes:

Yep Top 12 into the playoff and then it starts to count. Going to be a long scrimmage season basically except for anytime we see disgusting fucking winged helmets on the other side!
