ok so xray, the heat and humidity alone was worth something like 17 points.. so our absolutely horrendous d just held texas to -10 points? i guess they played above themselves...?

now on to a serious post.

our d wanted to make a statement against niu that they weren't to be overlooked. well, that statement wasn't loud enough. tonight however... they may not be seasoned veterans at every position, but the kids can play. i saw a lot of mistakes tonight, but even with that each and every one of them can flat out play. very impressive game for the d.

texas has a ton of talent. colt didn't play like a freshman. he took hard hits and made a lot of really good reads. texas may run the table from tonight on. not that it was surprising in the least. but their d and o lines are extremely good.

absolutely great game.

Despite the big performances from the big guns on offense, I thought the most confidence-inspiring aspect of the game was the way the defense got stronger as the game wore on. I think it's safe to say James Laurinaitis silenced his doubters tonight.

yep, good people. and they have nothing to be ashamed of tonight. they have a great team and they played their hearts out tonight.

before we played texas i had 0 interest in them. after these two games i have trumendous respect for their fans, team, and staff. i love the way they play football. they have fast, tough, hard hitting, intelligent kids. i wish em luck with their season.
