I disagree. Harris has improved quite a bit. Bobino or Kelson are >>>Hall, and Kill is not as big a drop off from DJ as people are making him out to be.

I don't worry about their size, as Chizik says, size is overrated.

Aaron Harris is considered by some to be our most explosive tackler and biggest hitter. He started at MLB last year and Should be even better this year. He is expected to be a stud. Also he breads pit bulls. That has nothing to do with anything but explanes the picture in hook'em's(I think its his?) sig.
HL-that would be Texasfight06, my good man.

Well, I guess you can have your opinions about Kill and DJ but if what Dick Vermeil says is true, then I think that even Horn fans have been taking what DJ did for granted.

I agree both bobino and kelson should both be better than hall

well shit, you get the point

On an unrelated note, I ran across this on the texas ticker at your scout site:

Do you want Carpenter or Bobino trying to bring down a muscular scrambler like VY/Smith?

this is getting to be a joke, i cant wait till hawk carpenter and schlegel are gone after this year, then we can be even better at linebacker!

excuse my sarcasm, but there is no way in hell that you lose the best linebacker in college football and improve. i dont care if ur linebackers all state as a freaking 6 year old that doesnt mean anything, they arent proven at the college level, and for you to say that your linebacking core might even be the same as last year is a ridiculous statement.

We've got some of the best backups in the country (which is well documented) in Freeman... D'Andrea... etc, but until they get it done all year long without Hawk/Carp/Schlegel, it is all talk. D'Andrea is hardly a young guy either, he could very well push for starting at MLB this year.

obviously if I can have a choice between Ray Lewis or sam mills I choose lewis 10 times out of 10 and twice on sunday.

but given the choice between sam mills and The boz....I'll take mills

The other part of the situation is that we don't even know if babino will end up being that good, but by all acounts he will.

The thing about our smaller quicker linebackers is that they will make tackles that yours will miss.

Get the fuck outta here. Your linebackers may be smaller but definitely ain't quicker, and I don't recall ever seeing either Hawk or Carpenter miss a tackle, and I've seen every single game since opening day 2002.

randy, come on now. You do realize that you are insinuating that our LB corp will have a better year than arguably the best unit in the nation. I would trade all 6 of our guys for their starting three if given the chance.

Im sure that it has happened once or twice

sorry, i havent seen a single post saying that your linebackers are to small. im sure everyone here is aware of how great the auburn defense was last year, and there linebackers were all around 210-220. i also dont think that our linebackers will miss more tackles than yours. seeing as how they are the best in the nation, im not going to even bother typing the 40 times im sure u've seen them enough, however i am going to ask you to explain to me how your linebackers can outperform ours?
