I don't understand the beef with Musburger......I like him, he's probably my favorite to watch. Maybe it's because I associate most big ABC games with his commentary....he has been a part of some big OSU games.

He tries to build up the underdog........which I think irritates some OSU fans, because we are very seldom an underdog. I think he knows his stuff, and shows a lot of love to OSU. I'm glad to hear he'll be at the game next week.

This is true too, since Taylor is still more of a runningback than a WR, and it is a little tougher to gain big yardage consistently from the backfield. If he does average 15 touches a game as the coaches want and maintains his per touch average from last year he would gain 2730 yards this season. Note that that is still fewer touches than Bush had last year.

Just watched the first half on tape for the first time. I am less impressed with JZ than I was live. He did a great job of putting the ball on target, but he didn't see much pressure. He stood in well against back side pressure, but the one time he had someone in his face he was intercepted. The Texas D is going to make our QB think on his feet and make adjustments on the fly.

But I also agree that whoever JT sends in the game is my QB.

Wow, there is some good debate in this thread............

I think what needs to be said has been said, you can only recycle the same shit talk 200 different times. Now it's time to play the game.

.......Now if only I can keep my mouth closed........

I think we had a great start and JZ looked good but did nothing fantasic for me to rule out TS. I think that you have to give Troy a chance also because he is a great dual threat. But thank god its not my desicion to make, I trust JT to make the correct one.

I think the thing that seperates him is he seems genuinely excited about most of the games he calls; not just another jaded announcer.

This is the main reason I haven't posted all too often lately (that and my newfound fear of getting banned  .) I found myself continually wanting to make an argument to what someone just said, but the problem is that someone said the same thing 50 or 100 pages ago and I already replied.

Oh yeah, I'm staying at a hotel near the airport and we're taking a cab over on gameday. Is there a bar/area near the stadium that would be good for watching TV and having a few beers during the day before kickoff? Mainly looking for a place where we won't have a 1 hour pilgrimage to get to the stadium but a place that won't necessarily be completely packed either. We're also planning on waiting out the crowd after the game and are looking for a place (maybe the same one) to eat/drink/watch highlights after the game before calling a cab for a ride back to the hotel. Thanks for any suggestions. Man this game can't get here soon enough... three days till I'm in Columbus!!!

Agree 100% with what Sloopy said...every year, he does a game in which he announces an upcoming date on ABC where a Buckeye game will be televised, and he makes it a point to note that he is looking forward to going to Columbus. But, he's no homer, and he calls the game in a fair manner. I would say he seems to favor an OSU win and/or play, but he is complimentary of the opponent when they do something or things well.

You want a beer joint near the stadium that isn't going to be completely packed on gameday???? Good luck, you can get everything you seek except the packed part at the Varsity Club on Lane next to the Holiday Inn. It is just across the street from St John's arena which is just across the street from the Shoe. Thas is probably your best bet.

The only thing I don't like about Musberger is the way he elongates EVERYTHING.

Down the middlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllle

It has nothing to do with who he roots for or if he ever said anything bad about OSU. When you start disliking somebody because they said something bad about your school once, you know you have issues.
