Gonzaga vs. Ohio State - Friday, November 24 @ 12:30 AM - ESPN2

any claim that dakich would/could provide decent backup minutes has been shown to be wrong. he's not fit for high-major ball. he can't keep up.

Glad I am not the only one thinking that. Looks like a struggle for him to even remotely trail his guy and really adds nothing to the offense. But need to really just have KBD, Tate and Jallow be our offense in the second half (maybe a little Jackson too, he looked pretty good).

Well, that effort eviscerates what I said about making the 2nd half matter. Time to adjust expectations back to where we knew they should have been to start the season. I am fine with losses considering what we have on the roster, but I am NOT ok with the effort we put out today in the 2nd half. That looked like the last 3 years under Matta and I don't want to see us regress to that. Really need to improve a ton over the season but hey, it is early and we just need to build the team back up. Plenty of ball left to play.

tomorrow's game versus stanford will be either 9:00 or 11:30. i highly doubt the marquee game between a west coast team and an east coast team will be played at 11:30 est, so that will probably be our slot. if we beat stanford, we'll play at 3:00 est on sunday. if we lose, it will be 9:30.

edit: checking the pk80 website (i stopped watching the game), it shows that we are playing at 9:00 est tomorrow. that surprises me. at least it's not another midnight game.

86-59, Bucks? It was 33-31 with some time left in the first, so you are talking 53-28 over the end of the game.

7 shots for KBD.

3-point shooting stays at 30%.

No Potter hurt us, but it really didn't matter.

Dakich, Andre Wesson, and Kyle Young might be unusable against good competition, and that just doesn't bode well for us.

Let's just hope the travel, late start, and Gonzaga's skill made this one uglier than it should have been. Stanford is a bit of a mess as well, so if the guys get their heads on straight, they can redeem something from this tournament.

Straight up need an upgrade in talent. That this is apparent against Gonzaga is disappointing. Sign of how hard we fell compared to mid-majors.

I think everyone knows the talent isn’t here currently to compete in the top 40 in the country. I also know Gonzaga isn’t a mid major anymore.

Tonight’s game against Stanford should be a W even with this roster. It may not happen but Stanford is not very good.

Only got to listen to some of it but from what I gathered, we're just a terrible shooting team right now when we cant get to the basket. We pretty much knew this.

Caleb Wesson needs to learn how to play defense. What is with the slapping crap? He slaps every time he tries to block a shot - and gets called for the foul. Do we not have someone who can help him? Put Oden on the payroll and teach him how to block without fouling.

The 13-0 run to end the first killed their spirits and it showed in the second half. They have to get tougher and fight for 40 minutes. I hope coach Holt gets their attention and they do that going forward.

Only watched the first half. Was very encouraged early on. Not sure exactly what happened but it seemed like the entire tone of the game changed after the face slap. I felt like the Zags got a couple of small makeup calls, nothing totally egregious and that could have just been my scarlet glasses but it seemed like the team lost all its zip after that. Still, I saw a lot of good things for them to build from.
