Gonzo and Pittman Coming Back?

THINK, Before You Speak
Former College Pick'Em Champ
Don't know if this needs to be moved, I'll let the MODS decide that.

Based on the outcome of tonights game, I'd have to think that Anthony and Antonio would hopefully be more inclined to stay for their senior seasons. The game itself was ugly, but as great as both of these kids are on and off the field, I just wonder if they might be left with an "unfinished business" thought. Gonzo did nothing tonight which was due to the circumstances of the game. Pittman had a good game, I only wish that he had run the ball about 20 more times than he did.

Going out on a sour note has to be tough, especially with poor stats in front of the nation. I'll drunkenly predict that Gonzo comes back. I'd say 70-30 that Pitt comes back also.

I'd really like to see Chris Wells. Not that I would not like to see Pittman back, but I have a feeling that Wells is going to be great; I would like to get more than one season out of him (I'd expect him to go to the NFL after his junior season.)

The selfish part of me wants all three back, but I'm a believer in JT's philosophy of if you're in a position of being a high draft pick you should go. To much to risk by coming back. If they come back, I'd be elated. If not, I certainly wouldn't disagree with their decision.

Ginn's decision to bolt for the NFL lasted about 15 seconds tonight.
I hope you're right. Teddy would definately help ease the transition to a new QB. My stomach sunk when I saw him out there without pads. Reminded me of Bobby C in ann arbor last November. Any word on his injury?

With Sidney Rice now declaring, Meachum, C. Johnson, D. Jarrett (not declared yet I don't believe), J. Smaozjajdjajzaj all out right now, I would think Ted & Gonzo see the beauty in sticking around one more year. Just high hoping. And the competitor in all three of them should make that last game VERY bitter and definitely light a fire in them. We'll see.

Dubs, OreBuck, it makes sense for them to go. After this year, they're at their peak. Troy getting them the ball and what they did with it, CANNOT be duplicated next year with either new quarterback at the controls. (You heard it here first).

Like it or not, the offense will require a retooling, and if either of them have a mediocre year, then their draft status might (will!) be diminished. Passing just a hair off, behind, etc. from 'other than a Heisman qb' could hurt them. Look at USC. They did well, but not Leinhart well.

Pittman the same. He's being pushed by Wells, true, but he's the guy. Next year he could get 20-25% more carries than he had this year, only because we won't have the passing attack. However, the injury bug could hit him, and if he doesn't gain his yards (more defenders in the box because they don't have to watch out for Troy), then his draft status could suffer. Combine that with who's coming out next year, and voila, the decision becomes easier.

It sounds like Gonzo has gotten feedback from the pro scouts who 'predict' where one will be drafted. Barton has said he'll return, so Ginn and Pittman are up in the air. Anyone else thinking about going?

No matter, I've heard it from reliable sources that the Buckeyes will field a team, and that it will be very competitive........maybe not #4, but certainly our 2's are top 20..........let's sneak up on 'em.

We'll have a better idea after the combine. Anybody know Gonzo's reported forty time? I think I remember hearing it was in the high 4.3 range. If I were to make a prediction right now, I'd say he's a mid second rounder.
