So that was... humor? How are we supposed to tell? Can we get applause and laugh signs like they have for sit-com audiences or do they only have those on the ESPN boards?

I thought it was obvious which of my 3 points didn't belong in a logical argument...it was a play on the inability (to this day) of any football announcer to ignore "what a great football name AJ Hawk is" during a broadcast. While not  funny, I think it would still qualify as a joke. I guess without a spreadsheet it might be confusing to some.

Also, I have an applause sign for you. Ignore the part that says "Eat a bag of Dicks, DBB"...that was from an earlier sign that I painted over for the new one.

This isn't all that hard for me.

Cousineau and Katzenmoyer and maybe Hawk were probably as physically gifted, and Spielman may have been a little smarter, but Gradishar was hands down the best.

His stats don't overwhelm you because they had so many 3 and outs, and then the offense would hold the ball forever. He probably didn't play much more than a third as many plays as Marek of Spielman, so he's not going to have a million tackles.

Hawk over Gradishar

That's the joke.

Hawk has more hardware and a title...you may well be right that Gradishar was a greater linebacker, but it's certainly debatable. If it's such a laugher why don't you rail LJB for making a poll out of such a ridiculous question? How dare he put Katzenmoyer, Laurinaitis and Hawk in the same realm as Randy Gradishar? GTFOOH.

Listen to us......arguing about who's the best, and using the argument that 'behind a great DL'....etc....Face it, OSU is the REAL LB U.....and having all of these choices is an embarassment of riches.

Have seen many of these guys in person. Dwight (Ike) Kelley was smallish for an LB, but you know the story, 'amount of fight in the dog'. He was a 60ish LB on some darn good OSU teams. And when you say, 'OSU' linebacker, that doesn't mean pro statistics included, or how many times on a Sunday they mention the name, and 'from OSU'.....

For my money, it's a tie between: Marek, Gradishar, Erik Kumerow (remember it's only in an OSU uni), AJ and Little Animal. The rest of those mentioned are ALL IA on the list....:wink2:

:gobucks3::gobucks4::banger: Three cheers for the Real Linebacker U.

If you could choose one former Buckeye LB to add to this year’s unit, who are you taking?

One of these three: Spielman - Gradishar - Cousineau

If it's specifically for this years team then the only clear need is a more athletic Mike.

I love Spiels but of those 3, give me Gradishar.

Gradishar, Browning and Werner is about as athletic a LB core as you could ever hope for.
