I remember in GTA III you could hijack firetrucks and buses and stuff like that... If I knew I had a mission where I was going to have to fight through a bunch of cops to get away, I'd always pick one of those babies up first. they took forever to get moving but once you got them going they were unstoppable.

No way.. It was all about the semi-truck!

In Vice city, my favorite thing to do was to get 6 stars, and barricade myself in I believe it was either a coffee or clothes shop, near the Printing business, and then make a B-line to a tank and see how far I could get.

Had to go out and pick up 4 and got started last night... tried to turn a corner run right into a cop precede to attempt to run and got up on the sidewalk and ran over about 10 people. Had been playing for 30 seconds and already had 3 warrants. Got bummed because I forgot that if you run down to the pier and jump in the water it doesn't do you any good

Spend time on the multi-player side of the game too, please Rockstar and thank you.

I'd rather see Rockstar put 100% of their effort into making a game that will have a single player that has tons of replay value. A GTA game that would take as long as Skyrim would be awesome.

Given the amount of time you can spend in the last three GTA titles (GTA IV, San Andreas, Vice City) and the fact that it's gradually grown in map size (from Vice City to San Andreas, then from San Andreas to IV). They really seemed to push the limits on San Andreas, but had plenty more to work with on the newer consoles. I'd say it's a given that replay value in the single player will certainly be there.

They had GTA IV as their first real attempt at a multiplayer mode, and while it wasn't good (at all), it still had some play ability to it. Here's to hoping they build off what they started in IV.

SR III was god awful. Horrible story mode, side missions too easy, and everything else just seemed rushed. Not to mention, they completely took multiplayer out of the game. What do they have to show for it? A LOT of used copies at Game Stop. Single Player is fun, but your real success is in the multiplayer.

Would the CoD series be any good w/o multiplayer? What about Halo (the obvious answer to that would be yes, but not a resounding yes)

We're talking about two complete different types of games here. That's why games like GTA, SR3, Red Dead Redemption, etc... all have crappy multiplayer modes. They just don't work with the game at all. Would Skyrim be any fun if it was multiplayer? I'd say no.
