Paying these guys 10% (and more) of the total revenue their program generates seems a little...excessive.

I wonder what those 7 SEC coaches salaries represent in terms of their conference's total comp to professors? If anyone needed anymore of a visual of just how-not-like the other sports football is, I can't imagine what it would be.

Don't know how many are full professors; but...

It's a high pressure gig, but I agree that the salaries are way too high. Saban makes a million less than what the entire staff did in 2014. Top coordinators are getting 2 million, which is closer to what I see as reasonable for a HC. It's been a runaway train and I don't see it stopping soon. Eventually non-revenue sports will have to be cut so an extra $3-4 million can go towards the top coordinators and assistants.
