Loud fart gives away suspect's hiding spot, leads to arrest

When tracking down a suspect, law enforcement might use a K-9 to track down a scent.

This was not necessary for a recent arrest in Missouri.

According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, over the weekend, Liberty police were searching for a person who a felony warrant for arrest. The person was wanted for possession of a controlled substance.

The suspect hid to avoid police, but apparently let out a fart so loudly, it gave up their hiding spot.

"We’ve gotta give props to Liberty PD for using their senses to sniff him out!" read a Facebook comment from the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

Catholic bishop to rain down 'holy water' from helicopter in 'mass exorcism' over city

A Catholic bishop is reaching for new heights to save a city wrought with "evil."

After the brutal murder of a 10-year-old girl in a port city in Colombia, Monsignor Rubén Darío Jaramillo Montoya, the bishop of Buenaventura, announced he will perform a mass exorcism over the city beset with violence, drug smuggling, and poverty this weekend, The Guardian reported.

“We have to drive the devil out of Buenaventura, to see if we can restore the peace and tranquility that our city has lost due to so many crimes, acts of corruption and with so much evil and drug trafficking that invades our port," Montoya told the local radio station.

A truck spilled pig guts all over a Kansas City interstate, and commuters were told to find an 'alternative snout'

Commuters in Kansas City, Missouri, face road closures, construction and accidents regularly, but they encountered a new hurdle Thursday morning: a massive pile of pig intestines.

Nearly all lanes of Interstate 670 near downtown were closed after a semi lost its load of intestines, which appeared in piles and smeared into the asphalt for about 50 yards.
But it was the smell, commuters said, that was the real problem.
"It stinks so bad and I almost threw up in my car," one man who drove past tweeted to CNN affiliate KMBC.



Kansas City police advised, "Hold your noses, and avoid the area for now." Officials deployed snowplows, a Bobcat and loads of powdered soap as they attempted to clean up the mess, which they hoped would be cleared by noon local time.

Police warn flushing drugs down the toilet could create 'meth-gators'

"Our sewer guys take great pride in releasing water that is cleaner than what is in the creek, but they are not really prepared for meth," the police department wrote on social media. "Ducks, geese, and other fowl frequent our treatment ponds and we shudder to think what one all hyped up on meth would do."

Law enforcement said if the meth made it far enough, gators could end up consuming it in Shoal Creek and the Tennessee River.

"They’ve had enough methed up animals the past few weeks without our help," police wrote. "So, if you need to dispose of your drugs just give us a call and we will make sure they are disposed of in the proper way."
