High School High School Brawl after 7 on 7 game

This reminds me of my senior year at Akron Buchtel. We were scrimmaging Glenville with TGjr, Jam'O, Ray Small, Rob Rose and the others. TGjr was playing WR in this scrimmage and our CB Steve Walker was shutting him down and he getting frustrated, and Steve talks more trash than anybody, so him and TGjr started fighting and a big rumble ensued. It was like an all out rumble. Coach Ginn and Coach Brown really didn't even try to stop it, but after it was done, they made us run 100 yard sprints all together.

Claude Brown was just happy we won the scrimmage

FHSAA says brawl won't cost Pahokee or Booker T. Washington

Monday, July 14, 2008
A post-game brawl between Pahokee High and Miami's Booker T. Washington High at a Nike 7-on-7 football tournament could have cost each school $20,000.
But both schools remain scheduled to play separate opponents in a lucrative, full-squad exhibition event Aug. 29-30 in Miami.
Schools that participate in the Miami Sports Kickoff Classic each will receive a $15,000 donation from the Miami-Dade Sports Commission and two $2,500 scholarships from Nike.
A spokesperson for Nike said the schools still are invited to play in the exhibition games, provided they first participate in a sportsmanship conference.
If there are any additional consequences for Saturday's altercation, it likely will be up to each school to enforce, the Florida High School Athletic Association said Monday.

Hell no!!!! I'm only 6' 191, I know that may sound like good size to some people, but not him. He was actually only throwing people, no punches thrown. I seen a couple helmets get thrown though. I got into a scuffle with a dude name Bruce Frieson. I wanted no parts of Rob...we still talk about that to this day. Bryant Browning and Chimdi Chekwa are roomates and me and Chim are good friends and I go over there all the time and talk about it.

Exactly right, and Pahokee is right smack in the middle of the "Muck" and was one of the schools featured in that Sportscenter special about the Rabbits.

Hey now! Don't try to drag me into this.

My senior year we got in fights after each of our first three league games.

We weren't allowed to shake hands after games the rest of the year.

I also remembering scrimmaging Lima Sr. my Sophmore year....our tailback broke off a good 30-40 yard run and was finally the bumped out of bounds by a Lima DB. The kid from Lima pushed our RB and called him a n***** (the Lima kid was black too).

Did I mention our RB at the time was the defending 167lb state champ?

The "scuffle" didn't last long.
