Home Jersey Colors Discussion (split from Penn State Cult thread)

James, you ignorant slut. Maybe you should look into that. LSU wears white at home. Pretty sure all you have to do is ask the opponent to agree to it ahead of time.

Pftftftft, yeah right, Dryden. The next thing you'll say is that it's OK for both teams to wear their colored jerseys if they agree beforehand...like that ever happens.

There was a penalty for that. A timeout was assessed from one team for doing that. So the other team called a timeout at the start of the game so that they both only started with 2 timeouts.

You are correct...actually, wasn't it a five-yard penalty that was assessed against the home team on the first play of the game instead, and the team that was visiting took a delay of game penalty to offset that? Whichever it was, the timeout/penalty thing was agreed to by both head coaches ahead of time and there is no rule "prohibiting" both teams from wearing colored jerseys, whereas Franklin is claiming that the rules don't even give him an option to wear the whites at home.

Yeah, Franklin’s comments seem misplaced. Although I suppose it’s possible that he asked JimBlo about allowing him to wear white and old Jimmer went mental on him. Seems like a Harbaugh thing to do.

I could also see either one of those two coaches being dick enough not to call the time out.
