How much would you pay to keep Jim Tressel

I'm betting JT did a little dance when he heard that Saban is getting 32M guaranteed for eight years, knowing that his own contract will be ripped up should OSU beat Florida.

I am fine with JT making 4,000,000.01 per year.

He is the best coach in the business and should be compensated accordingly.

I doubt JT will seek Saben type money. I would expect more a contract like the old Ball-coach got where he includes clauses for his assistants to get raises, etc.

Not that he doesn't deserve it. He is without a doubt a top coach, but ND and Alabama needed to pay their coaches for status and credibility, not something tOSU generally is seeks.

I would imagine he will be in the 2-2.5 mill range with fat bonus money and well paid assistants.

He's already making that. Ante up!

Terms of Jim Tressel's contract:
2006 -- $2,378,900
2007 -- $2,300,900
2008 -- $2,325,900
2009 -- $2,400,900
2010 -- $2,500,900
2011 -- $2,575,900
2012 -- $2,675,900

As we all know, if he wins next week, those numbers are only going up, and rightfully so.
