Illinois Fighting Illini (you'll see)

Mark my words...33 offers out for 2013 already. Going to be a monster year for the Illini. B1G titles are coming...I know no one believes me but it is happening.. Trading Cordale Scott for Tim Beckman was huge. Just sniped a couple of future All-Americans from...Western Michigan and Miami (OH).

I <3 Hugh Thornton.

I wanna rep this guy. I just can't figure out which color to use.

Both of those programs have seen just about the highest levels they will see. The Illini have the potential to be a college football superpower and as good as any team around. That is where the difference is. I fully expect Beckman to pick up on where Zook was leaving off, and that is putting the Illini into the elite. They aren't that far off, and I think they're going to make a big jump next year.
Just wait, you'll see...this time it'll happen. Seriously, you guys.

Scheelhaase will take a huge leap forward in 2012. He has a chance to be the best QB in the conference, if not an All-American.

Even though Jenkins is gone, the Illini return Ray Lankford and Spencer Harris. That's like having Roddy White and Julio Jones.

With Billy Gonzalez at the helm, this offense will be unstoppable.

Hugh Thornton will be a future 1st rounder. He will go down as one of the best guards in B1G history.

The DTs will be the strength of the defense with Akeem Spence and Glenn Foster. Think Terrence Cody and Haloti Ngata.

Michael Buchanan will make the same jump to elite level that Whitney Mercilus did.

Any you all remember Justin Green, right? He and Terry Hawthorne give us two senior, lockdown corners. No one will be able to throw on us.

10-2 minimum going into a BCS bowl next year.

09/01 - Western Michigan (win)
09/08 - at Arizona State
(win)
09/15 - Charleston Southern (win)
09/22 - Louisiana Tech (win)
09/29 - Penn State (win)
10/06 - at Wisconsin (can win)
10/13 - at Michigan
(can win)
10/27 - Indiana (win)
11/03 - at Ohio State (upset special)
11/10 - Minnesota (win)
11/17 - Purdue (win)
11/24 - at Northwestern (win)

This can't be real. Seriously that is some of the biggest bull crap that I have heard in a LONG time. This is even above major homerism. He just firmly removed his lips from Zooks knob, and planted it right on Beckmans. I predict the Illini to be 7-5 next year, if lucky.
