Illinois Fighting Illini (you'll see)

This can't be real. Seriously that is some of the biggest bull crap that I have heard in a LONG time. This is even above major homerism. He just firmly removed his lips from Zooks knob, and planted it right on Beckmans. I predict the Illini to be 7-5 next year, if lucky.

We get it, you can't be objective whatsoever. Whats comical is your outlandish claims every year come draft time. Kind of like claiming Martez Wilson is better than Von Miller, and should be a top 5 pick. You make any self respecting fan defend other schools by dumb claims like that. Don't make these insane claims, and we wouldn't have to defend other schools.</B>
I don't get some of you guys. This is an Illini board yet we're defending other schools. My first post had nothing to do with Iowa, Wisconsin, or any other school. Yet that's what this thread is about now. I don't care about who Iowa or Wisconsin puts out. The FACT is the Illini are now a pro factory and its only getting better.
When you make stupid statements like Illinois produces more than Iowa and Wisconsin together, you force any self respecting NFL fan to point out how dumb you sound. If you don't care about them, then don't make silly comparisons to them.

I'm very excited that Illinois is putting talent into the NFL and is improving in that aspect every year. That's terrific for the program. Keep it up! Many people here like to talk about real life draft scenarios, not just straight kool-aid talk.
Obviously I wasn't saying they're putting out more prospects than those two combined. I'm saying they've put out more "relevant" prospects, or guys who are currently factors than those schools combined. And its the truth. Like I keep saying, this has to be the only board where another school gets defended. Its comical really.
I also said he is better because he's more versatile which he is. Von Miller can't play MLB. And I STILL stand by my statement that he is a better pash rusher. The Saints started to get the memo though by the end of the year. Next year you'll see even more.
More and more of their own posters are turning on him.

Yep...crazy. I'll be off these boards for the most part in the near future so they'll have to find someone else to argue against the Illini with.

Looks like he might be taking his ball and going home. :(

Is it really "arguing" with him when he's absolutely wrong about 99.5% of the crap he posts? It's not like it takes any effort to prove that dolt wrong. Everybody loves a little optimism, but when you've been stuck in neutral since the one fluke season that sent the guy over the edge with his predictions, can anybody really blame that board for getting tired of his antics?

Sacks (2011 Season)
Martez Wilson (New Orleans) -1
Von Miller (Denver)- 11.5

Clearly, Wilson is the better pass rusher. You'll see. :slappy:

I'm almost starting to feel bad picking on the little fella. I think he may be a little, um, "mentally challenged".

They've pretty much totally turned on the little fella over on the scout board. He gets savaged every time he posts now. Guess five years of "just wait, you'll see" and "told you" and getting essentially nothing right wears out one's welcome.

:slappy: "pro factory"?

2011: 4 (1,2,3,7)
2010: 3 (2,3,5)
2009: 3 (1,5,6)
2008: 1 (1)
2007: 1 (7)
2006: 0
2005: 2 (2,4)
2004: 2 (5,7)
2003: 5 (2,4,5,5,7)
2002: 1 (2)

In the last ten drafts, they've had 22 players selected (2.2 per draft), and only three first-round picks. Yep, a real pro factory.

Hyperbole, thy name is "thakid". Regardless of how many players they have put into the NFL, it doesn't change the fact they have been thoroughy mediocre to downright putrid (aside from the outlier '01 & '07 seasons) for two decades. But, hey, that's bound to change now, they're bringing in the best 2* players in history according to dum-dum.

Following his posts is incredibly entertaining now...moreso than ever before. Each post of his is like chum in the water. He posts, they swarm and devour him. I'd think he'd gone into full troll mode if I didn't know he was so damned stupid...

[censored] it, slow night at work. Lets see how this "pro factory" has faired in the nfl:

2011
DT- Corey Liuget (1st Rd): 19 tackles, 1 sack (backup)
RB- Michael LeShoure (2nd Rd): Blew out his knee preseason
LB- Martez Wilson (3rd Rd): 10 Tackles, 1 sack (backup)
LB- Nate Bussey (7th Rd): Practice squad player, didn't register any statistics

2010
Wr- Arrelious Benn (2nd Rd): 55 Catches, 5 td as part time starter / #3 receiver in 2 seasons
OG- Jon Asamoah (3rd Rd): Starting OG in KC
TE- Mike Hoomanawanui (5th rd): Part time starting TE in STL
DT- Josh Brent (7th Rd): Backup DT, marginal player

2009
CB- Vontae Davis (1st Rd): Solid, not spectacular starting CB
OT- Xavier Fulton (5th Rd): Out of the league
DE- Will Davis (6th Rd): Backup DE in ARZ, marginal player

2008
RB- Rashard Mendenhall (1st Rd): 2 thousand yard seasons for PIT, zero ProBowls, blew out knee at the end of 2011.

So, since dum-dum predicted illinois was on the verge of becoming "very Miami-esque" in terms of churning out pro players, they have had 12 guys drafted in 4 years:

1st Round: 3
2nd Round: 2
3rd Round: 2
5th Round: 2
6th Round: 1
7th Round: 2

Three are currently starters in the league (Mendenhall, V. Davis, Asamoah), Two are part time starters (Benn, Homawhatever), several are backups (Liuget, Wilson, Brent, W. Davis), one got injured in camp as a rookie (LeShoure), the rest are marginal/out of the league types. ZERO have been named to the ProBowl. This year, their best prospect, is Whitney Mercellus projects as possibly a mid-first rounder, and A.J. Jenkins as a 4th-5th rounder.

Some "pro-factory". :roll1: Hardly what I'd call Miami-esque. But they'll get better. Watch, you'll see.

I've been saying Allen SHOULD be a 1st round pick, 2nd round at worst guy for the longest for many of the reasons that scouting report stated and then some. I've said that once the scouting process and all star games come up he's going to shoot up because people will look at his whole body of work. If people actually read the stuff I post they'd see just about everything I've been saying has come to light. Next will be the "Illini will rise to the top of B10" claims because its definitely about to happen. I can't wait.
Just wait.

Guys, please. ThaKid is lining up his Rose Bowl tickets, I think we should take notice.

You'll see.

Don't believe the haters, the illini are on the cusp of a great class:

I think people should stop freaking out. They're in on a lot of great players. They'll come. I guarantee it.

Kid guarantees it, so you can take it to the bank.
