So, not really in-tune with things lately-

People have stopped vaccinating their kids to prevent long-term disease/sickness because they are worried the vaccinations will cause a short-term disease/sickness?

Is that the gist? What the hell is going on?

And then threaten the lives of younger children (too young for vaccines the other parents plan to administer) and other people with weak immune systems.

All because they read a lot of truthers on the internets that spew nonsense and trumped up wisdom about how unnecessary vaccines are and how they cause all sorts of maladies including the undeniable but covered up link to autism.

Curing measles was one of the crowning achievements of modern medicine and now it's back thanks to trusting the internets over medical professionals.

People are being fucking idiots. Darwin was right - people who don't get vaccinations should be denied medical care so we don't have to listen to their bullshit. Of course, the celebrities that like to promote such lunacy are usually already vaccinated against whatever it is they are saying you shouldn't vaccinate for, so they are only risking your life or your kids lives.....

The celebrities aren't risking anyone's life. The parents that listen to them are. If you get your medical advice from a celebrity, you deserve to die.

The problem is that it's the kids of those dipshit parents who are affected.

Celebrity or not, people shouldn't be spewing misinformed/purposely-misleading dogma about a subject which can affect the health of innocent kids. They are misusing their status as famous individuals to propagate a dangerous platform.

If you make major decisions concerning your child's welfare and health because a fucking playmate said so, your kids are fucked no matter what. The kind of parents that decide important shit based on celebrity opinion are gonna fuck their kids up in some way no matter what. Like if the reason you DO vaccinate your kids is because Gary Oldman says they're safe, you're an idiot and your kids don't stand a chance anyway.
