Hawkeyes down 9-0 early. Cyclones dominating in the trenches, and Tate looks like he's hurt. Gotta hope the Hawkeye's pull this out though, a loss to a (lower tier) Big 12 team is unacceptable.

Iowa State played in the Big XII title game last year, and finished 7-5. I don't believe they're as bad as you think, but I'm a little surprised at how well they're battling the Hawks at the line of scrimmage.

Iowa State and Colorado tied to "win" the North with stellar 4-4 records last year. You are correct, though, as it was the Buffs who took the beatdown in the title game, by virtue of having beaten ISU.

Well, with Drew Tate out, this is no measure of Iowa. The replacement quarterback is clearly out of his depth. That overthrow on the last series was incredibly badly thrown.
