Hang on Sloopy
the NHL season has been canceled (or is about to be)? For me all it does is clutter ESPN and ESPN news. I can't stand the hockey highlights, NBA highlights can be irritating, but not even close to hockey.

I agree, 27. I know next to nothing about it, but I can tell that it's a great sport and I love the heart of the real hockey fans/players. Also, I don't watch it on tv, but it's a great night out live.

Well no, I love hockey, only second to Football. Now I cant say I am sad, because it's their own dumbass, greedy players that are causing this shit, but I severely am missing this hockey season. Sure beats the shit out of the NBA. That my friends, is the most worthless "sport" in the world.

Maybe Nascar will strike.
Bwahaha, now that, Donny........I would not cry over :)

NBA sucks. I've been to 4 games this year on someone elses dime. Last time I sat in 1st row on the floor under the basket, tickets were $350 each. The money fans are pumping into the NBA is sick. Similar seats to a Lakers game in LA are $2000 each. I'd rather go to a Hockey game in CBus.

I am laughing on that one!

I don't care for NASCAR either. They could strike and it would not bother me. The main difference is that their highlights do not clutter ESPN everyday.

how does a highlight clutter espn? the main gripe about hockey is that its boring. if espn is showing you nothing but goals, great saves, and big hits....thats not boring. how does that clutter anything?

DJT, that's more like it. Well done. Nobody is saying that you don't have a right to an opinion. It's all in the delivery.

I have been a big hockey fan since I was a kid. Growing up in Columbus I was a) weird for playing hockey and b) forced to find a great old AM radio to reach far away stations for the games (I remember 760 in detroit, 1160 in St. Louis, and 1030 and 1020 in Pittsburgh and Boston, I think. . .)

Hockey is a great game but I think it was degraded when they went East West with the conferences (Prince of Wales and Campbell were part of the charm and history) and when Fox took it over for a bit and put on robot hockey guys and generally degraded the sport. The highlighted puck thing was the worst. . .

The expansion has sucked too. My friend in Florida said that at the games they handed out rules pamphlets for each game. Nobody even knew what they were going to see. . .

The NBA, which I also used to be a big fan of, now totally sucks.
