so they are going to take a DB who can't cover college WR's and is too small to play LB at #5 overall ?

Do the Browns or Bengals have the 5 pick or something?

No one is that stupid.

Brownies took Johnny Manziel in the first round after seeing two years worth of terrible film and a ton of investigation in his off field antics.

So... yes, someone is always that stupid.

The Bengals are not interested until he has at least three arrests under his belt. Chlamydia is not enough to sway the Bengals.

Looked up this douche-bag's up to date stats....

44 total tackles, one off his career high (last year) Still no picks and no passes defended, but he does have 10 TFLs and 3 sacks.
Behind the numbers:
25 of 44 Tackles came against UCF, Colorado, and Hawaii, has 19 Tackles in league play (5 games)
He has gone from averaging 8.3 tackles a game OOC to 3.8 per game in conference
7.5 TFL came against UCF, Colorado, and Hawaii, has 2.5 TFL in league play (5 games)
2.5 TFL per game OOC to 0.5 per game in conference
His 3 sacks represent his career total, 2 came against Colorado and Hawaii, the other was vs. Sparty

Punt returns - 15 for 257 (17.1 avg) and a TD All career bests, except for the number of returns (17 last season)
Kick Returns - 6 for 168 (28.0 avg)

Rushing - 15 for 131 and 3 TDs. He now has 203 yards rushing and 5 Tds for his career
Receiving - 2 for 3 yards. He now has 10 receptions for 82 yards and no scores for his career.

Heisman...
Time to update Peppers' 2016 stats.....

With 5 tackles this weekend, chlamydia boy - a Junior - has now, finally, made more than 100 tackles in his career, with 101.
One of those tackles was for loss, upping his total to 11, with 3.5 of them coming in conference play (6 games)!
Alas, he still has not picked off a pass as a collegian.

Our Heisman hopeful did not return any punts this past week, but he did have a 14 yard kick off return, upping his KO Return yd. total to..... drum roll... 182.

On the ground, Pep managed 19 empty yards on 2 carries.

He remains stuck at 2 receptions for 3 yards. If you add in the number of INTs to his Rec. total he has caught the ball 2 times this year.

Big Ol #5 has 6 career TDs

For contrast, Lamar Jackson had 7 TDs............................. last week. Peppers, as above, now has 203 yards rushing for his career... Jackson ran for 185 last week, and now has rushed for 1183 yards and 19 TDs this season. Jackson, however, has 2 less receptions and 3 less receiving yards this season... although, in fairness, he has thrown the ball for 2753 yards and 26 TDs. Still, Jackson has not returned a single kick, punt or KO return. He has zero, count them, ZERO tackles. Jackson also has not picked off any passes, so that's a wash.

meanwhile Curtis Samuel has a chance to be the first 1,000/1,000 player in the history of CFB
Is this real?

I knew I wanted to see it happen, didn't know how rare (read: nonexistent) it was. And honestly, if not for some mismangement in priorities for a couple games, it should have easily been on pace to happen. Still might. The 401 rushing yards is tough, but over presumably 4 games (before Heisman voting), he could break out some long ones to make it happen. Certainly any playoff run would assure that. Cool.
