JabriLLL "Ghost" Peppers (New England Patriots)

They got was absolutely not a difference maker on either side today. When plays were made in the backfield, it was Hurst or Charlton or Wormley. When it was downfield, it was Lewis or Stripling.

All he was tackle guys 6-8 yards downfield or pile on after his teammates had done all the dirty work.

Over-hyped twatwaffle.

That's been the story every time they've played a team with a pulse...and it's debatable if Iowa even has one.

All the hype has been ludicrously undeserved.

Fowler's voice would rise with anticipation every time Peppers was near the ball, which included him getting stuffed for four yard losses, routine three yard gains, and him whiffing completely a couple times at the LOS on tackles of Iowa RBs.

The WWL has really pumped him up in the absence of McCaffrey as a threat to Jackson for the Heisman they're ignoring what Curtis Samuel is doing statistically is insane, because Curtis is actually outpacing what McCaffrey did just last year on a per touch average. If Curtis got 400 touches this year like McCaffrey got last year? JFC, he'd have numbers so absurd you couldn't duplicate them in a video game with 12 minute quarters.

Time to update Peppers' 2016 stats.....

With 5 tackles this weekend, chlamydia boy - a Junior - has now, finally, made more than 100 tackles in his career, with 101.
One of those tackles was for loss, upping his total to 11, with 3.5 of them coming in conference play (6 games)!
Alas, he still has not picked off a pass as a collegian.

Our Heisman hopeful did not return any punts this past week, but he did have a 14 yard kick off return, upping his KO Return yd. total to..... drum roll... 182.

On the ground, Pep managed 19 empty yards on 2 carries.

He remains stuck at 2 receptions for 3 yards. If you add in the number of INTs to his Rec. total he has caught the ball 2 times this year.

Big Ol #5 has 6 career TDs

For contrast, Lamar Jackson had 7 TDs............................. last week. Peppers, as above, now has 203 yards rushing for his career... Jackson ran for 185 last week, and now has rushed for 1183 yards and 19 TDs this season. Jackson, however, has 2 less receptions and 3 less receiving yards this season... although, in fairness, he has thrown the ball for 2753 yards and 26 TDs. Still, Jackson has not returned a single kick, punt or KO return. He has zero, count them, ZERO tackles. Jackson also has not picked off any passes, so that's a wash.

Heisman watch stat update:

After carrying 4 times for 11 yards, Peppers now has 21 carries for 161 yards on the season. He did not find the endzone and thus still has 3 rushing scores
Peppers had yet another game where he didn't catch a football on either offense or defense. He remains stuck at 2 receptions for 3 yards
He did not record any defensive statistics, leaving him with 49 total tackles, 11 for loss with 3 sacks
He had one kick return for 16 yards and now has 8 returns for 198 yards this year
He had one punt return for 19 yards and now has 16 returns for 276 yards this year, and one score.

So, he's got the following all purpose numbers: 47 touches 638 yards and 4 TDs

Let's see how this compares to Curtis Samuel....

Samuel has 80 rushes for 637 yards and 7 TDs

Oh.... wait...there's more....

He can also catch... unlike Pep.... and has 57 Receptions for 750 yards and 6 scores
He returned his second punt of the year for 11 yards, and how has 6 return yards for the year.

While Samuel had as many interceptions, tackles, tackles for loss and sacks as did Peppers yesterday, he remains 49 tackles, 11 for loss and 3 sacks behind.

All purpose totals: 139 touches for 1393 yards and 13 TDs
