Jarrett Guarantano (QB Tennessee, transfer to Washington State)

For all we know, we see one of the current QBs on the roster not return and only sign one for 2015. At this point it's just too hard to say but we are Jarrett's front runner currently and he's waiting on some clarity before giving a verbal. Love where we are sitting honestly.

If you're good enough the NFL will find you. Brett favre and Dan Marino made it to the NFL and had HOF careers coming from small schools. As did Jerry rice and Walter Payton, and the list goes on. 3/4 of the starters in the AFC North at QB didn't go to big football factory schools... .
Sorry for getting off topic

Ok so Jones is guarenteed to develop as well as he did with Toledos athletic training staff and coaching staff as he did here?

Because you cant just say regardless of the school, it DOES make a diffrence. you're telling me NFL scouts rather have someone from Toledo instead of Bama? i call BS. and yes i sure can say theres a way the NFL wouldn't be looking at him because its a whole diffrent coaching staff, talent on the team, etc you cant just say Adrian Peterson would have played at say Texas San Antonio and still put up the numbers he did at OU.

But I will take a LB from Buffalo before Bama.......

??? Marino came from a Pitt program that was nationally elite during his entire college career.

Regardless and to stay on topic, Guarantano is my favorite QB in the '16 class. He just seems to have everything

+Elite Arm strength for a HS kid
+Elite Accuracy for a HS kid completing 65% of his passes
+Great Speed for a QB, seems even faster then his 4.6 40
+Very Quick release
+Sets his feet to throw often
+A few times in his film he put his head down and trucked a defender, at 200 pounds, but also has some good shake in his runs
+Great student with a 3.9

plus having him and Walker helps even more for Gary

I agree on all, especially the last part. But what about Haskins? Are they 1a and 1b at this point?

What stood out to me and most impressed me was his footwork in the pocket. I'm no QB coach, but it looks like he's balanced and he's always hopping, which allows him to move in the pocket quickly and stay balanced so he can throw at any time. Very impressive and clearly well coached.

I suggest posters go back and watch highlights of George Hill, Kareem Walker and Guarantano back-to-back-to-back. I found myself saying "THIS is going to be the future of the team?! Holy crap!" It's hard to imagine it getting much better, but man... These are some special players. What an outstanding time to be a Buckeye fan.

The players you named, and just remember we're sitting very well with Demario McCall, who also should excel in this offense at the H back(aka Pivot aka Jalin Marshall) position. Those 4 could make a pretty solid offensive skill position future. And also throw in Justin Layne as well, all would make Guarantano very happy
