I'm up at 3:30 am to drive to a Purdue football game. Someone copy and paste a bleacher report article that proves with FACTS and EVIDENTS that makes the Boilermakers a hated rival.

The sad thing is, Jetbuck is going to run back to the cult to brag about how badly he trolled us. It's really pretty sad- they want SO badly for people to give a shit about them but they will always just be Iowa (good at football every 3-5 years) whose demigod enabled a guy to rape kids under his nose for several decades.

At some point you'd think they'd find something else to hang their personal worth on, but the people who doubled down since Sandusky went public are obviously in it for the long haul come hell or high water.

Since the chances of Penn State doing something worth a damn on their own are slim to none for at least the next decade (and really, what has their been for them since '94?) globbing on to Ohio State by being a 'rival' is about the best they can hope for.

To answer my own question about 'since '94' I'm sure the cult would point to '05 and '08 as well as possibly some years where they almost beat Ohio State- which I think proves my point fairly nicely.

On the other hand, can anyone even remember the Penn State game in some of Ohio State's greatest seasons over the past decade (outside of a vague recollection of a pick six or three including Gamble's in '02)?

Just call me Freud.

Took the words out of my mouth. I don't know anyone who considers the Pedsters a true rival. Yes, I DO believe that there is some extra disdain towards them, but that is more because of their pompous, arrogant, delusional sister pumpkining fanbase than any on the field issues.
I do enjoy seeing the Bucks beat them more than your run of the mill B1G team, but it is only to see the cultists self implode and start throwing excuses around. Anybody can copy and paste a bunch of articles claiming a "rivalry" but until BOTH fanbases consider it such, it will never be. I really don't believe most Buckeye fans consider them rivals, but more like that pesky gnat on a hot humid summer night.........really irritating, but harmless.
