Kathleen Salyers Interview: CNNSI.com

What kind of moron would spend $100,000 on some kid without ever getting paid a dime? This woman is nuts, one way or another.

Most of the stuff in this "new" story were already in other stories. I saw the agents in the locker room allegation last week.

I think my wife and I pull in a little more than the average part-time house keeper and we would have trouble providing over $100,000 in support to an OSU athlete. Where did this woman get the money to pull this off?

And how is it that a part-time house keeper arranges to have grades changed? Is their some special relatinoship house keepers have with professors that I failed to exploit when I was in school? For that matter, I am a part time professor myself. Am I obligated make grade changes at the request of full time house keepers?

Not trying to blow this off - it is very troubling. But I bit on McGill's stories initially as well. On its face this is suspect.

I thought the same thing when I first read about this in the Dispatch. I'm not saying what she says is not true but my initial thoughts were another Norma McGill.

The CNNSI story referred to a practice of writing checks for an amount greater than was needed for a purchase and then giving the extra money to Boban. The CNNSI story had confirmation of this from 2 employees of the gas station where this Salyers lady did this. Although some portions of this story don't make sense, there is already corroboration for at least some of her story. It doesn't appear that there is any way to totally discount this woman's allegations.

I fear where this could lead...even though portions of her story do sound a little far fetched.

Again, not saying this isn't true - but as I understand it there is corroboration that whe wrote checks for more than the amount needed - not what she did with the money. Writing checks in that fashion is not an uncommon practice.

Absolutely. People do that all the time.

What I dont get his IF this whole thing is true, how can someone be that stupid. If she did indeed have an agreement with the Roslovic's for $1000 bucks a month plus expenses after about say oh 6 months of not getting anything from them dont you think she would have said "Im not going to do it anymore, find someplace else to live" or something? The fact that it continued for 4 years is absolutely absurd, and if indeed this does all somehow turn out to be true she has got do be the dumbest most gullible person walking this earth.

Exactly bartender. If she was claiming $5-6k that could be arguable. Maybe a payment was missed here or there and the amount started to build. But this woman claims to be $100k in arrears. What sane person would allow that to happen?

Maybe this isn't McGill after all. Perhaps its that woman who claimed she lost the winning lottery ticket a while ago, back for another try.

Sounds like extortion from someone in a financially desperate situation. I work in mortgage banking for a large bank, and she could not have obtained a mortgage with those circumstances unless there was fraud committed on Salyer's part. A prior bankruptcy, at that income level, with that type of documentation for a self-employed borrower, no way. County records will determine if the house was sold or "taken" (sheriff sale or foreclosure sale). This sounds like a woman who may quite possibly have a mental illness. This story is going to get a lot more sordid.

Thanks Nixon, great read. If anyone has not read that it is a must. My sense of relief from having read how many holes exist in this woman's story is accompanied by tears of laughter.

If her allegations about Kim Roslovic are true it should be pretty easy to get corroboration from some of her 'young and dumb and loaded with cum' lovers. Her behavior as described is so outlandish that scores of people would be able to support Sayler's allegations. Further, the complete implausibility that someone in her self-described financial straights either could support Boban or would want to do so is absurd.

And completely missing from anything I have read to date is the motivation for the Roslovic's to want to throw this kind of money at Boban. Is this woman who shows off her breast implants and beds teenagers so desperate for sex that she will pay $12k+ a year for the services of a Serbian stud?

The only way a person like this has any credibility at all is that someone who passed the bar exam agreed to take her case. I would love to konw more about this clown's background. He is either desperate himself, or he thought he could blackmail something out of somebody without things going this far.

I feel much better now.
