Apparently scUMmers are still hoping the power of Facebook will someday land them a top recruit (see Pryor, Terrelle, blockparty). They are friend requesting the mess out of the kid. How cute:wink2:

Why does this board have rules about trying to talk directly to a recruit?

I guess I don't blame anyone for keeping his options open with all the uncertainty..others maybe telling him they won't keep a spot for him if he decommits later..not negative recruiting but taking advantage of the mess we created..

I would be surprised if he and Wormley weren't Michigan verbals by this time next week. Hate to have a strong Ohio class get away, and worse, to Michigan.

I couldn't do it. Too much pride in my state.

You really want players like that? At least Wormley has always been a long time Michigan fan. Kalis appears to simply not want to make the sacrifice that kids like Powell, Ball, Perry, and the majority of the 2011 class are making. The kids that are currently on board and who will commit the rest of way are kids who want represent the state and school, and are willing to sacrifice some personal goals (for however long the NCAA punishes us) because they love this program.

Kalis can make the whatever decision he wants, but as a fan ask yourself if it's worth spending more time praising the kids that will stand behind the state and school or is do you want to spend time lamenting losing kids who at the first sign of rough times, decide to abandon their loyalty and jump ship...

Once again, I don't know Kalis or what his final decision will be, but we got a lot of kids coming in this summer and others currently committed that should be getting the focus of our attention because they are as scarlet and grey as they come.

And queue the sky is falling crew... I love following recruiting, I love winning "recruiting" wars, heck I love finishing in the top 5 in the "polls" but to paraphrase Forest Gump, "Recruits are like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get" ... That and its still a long time til Feb 2.

This sucks because it obviously means that he's drinking the "restoring Michigan" koolaid while they're on the upswing and "Ohio State is going to somehow just drop off the competitive landscape despite the fact that their second string could beat most Big Ten teams including scUM" koolaid. What will be interesting is to see how the recruits react if we go 10-2 and blast scUM. I have no doubt that Fickell that will try to hang 60 on em. One thing I also look forward to is the revenge factor against these recruits that spurn us for other schools. I think the recruits that are apart of this OSU class will hold a grudge against the kids who rejected us, especially the scUM kids.

Hes ScUM bound, no doubt. All that stuff he said about going against Strobel and Wormley in practice. We need Diamond, send everything we got. This is bad because other recruits are probably like whats going on at OSU, if he doesnt wanna go there either do it. That Interim tag needs to go ASAP

Dude, it's not the sky-is-falling crowd. If you can't delineate pessimism from reality then you need to readjust your rose colored glasses. This recruiting class is suffering and will suffer until August. Even then, it will be a very patchy class compared to the last few years. Some Mr. Brewster he turned out to be.
