Lamarcus Joyner (DB New York Jets)

This is a fair comparison, Winfield and Joyner, from what I have seen of Joyner.

Yeap keep saying and i hope he keeps hearing that. Berryfan I got it done for you. I've watched the play over and over again of LJ running down Berry. Watch it, Berry is in full stride and Frank hits a God given gear like no other. Berry never gets caught from behind. ITs the 4th play I think. Also ran one back against them, called back though. If they thought LJ had one of the best highlights last year... Getcha popcorn ready...

Don't want to get into an argument, but when he did run down Berry he had the angle on him...Obviously not many guys catch Berry with that angle, But Joyner does have the same type speed as Berry...

Joyner shows a great ability to accelerate from a stopped position...

He also isn't scared to come up and stick his nose in there when making a tackle and has great hip turn to cover...

The Berry highlight is at 42 seconds in.

I was watching the play with Berry from the other side of the field (Palmetto's sideline) and it really looked like Berry was gone and LJ just caught up to him. There was a lot more separation from Berry and LJ that I saw on that sideline and LJ definitely had to be superman to do what he did. You could just see Berry accelerate through his paces and all of a sudden LJ comes down on him. Keep in mind anyone doubting this kid's size and ability (Florida schools take another note if you want to) to take down guys like Berry, Berry has in my opinion one of the best upper bodies I have ever seen on an RB and not to many guys can take him down single handedly in the manner that LJ did.

The kickoff return against Palmetto is at exactly 3 minutes in.

I remember that one because it got called back, but I swore it was some guy other than LJ, because the guy taking it down field looked taller, but it sure was, number 3

They're both good kids, I see Berry helping up guys and LJ did the same through the game I saw him in. Both good sports.
love seeing that, annihilate the guy, help him up, tap him on the head and go back and do it again.

Naw bro, the only angle he had on him was from behind. Berry was already in fullstride be Frank started up. it was great to see. cant wait to see berry at OSU. hopefully we can get a cheap flight for the spring game this yr.
Quick question: Hey, is it best to fly directly into Columbus or fly into another town and drive up. Like most people down here, instead of flying into Miami they use Fort lauderdale airport.

I've seen cheap flights to Dayton, but Columbus is relatively cheap as well and Dayton is a good hour and a half away.

Berrry when he runs thru Joyner and the other defender, is running in a straight line up the sideline, and Joyner starts at an angle to take off about 4 yards ahead of Berry and the angle is what allowed him to catch up to Berry...If he would of had to run straight down the field he doesn't catch him...

Honestly he showed that he has great speed tho, so it is not a big deal...

No idea on the flight, never flown before, but I would say it is best to just fly into port columbus...

I saw it as genron187 saw it, because I was up in the middle of the stands on the Palmetto sideline (the video was taken from the Southwest side). I swore nobody was going to catch Berry, he had already passed by all of the defenders and LJ must have used a nitrous shot because it was amazing to watch.

I think American is the only one that does nonstops from Miami to Columbus, everywhere else you have to switch planes. The stopovers are usually Atlanta or Detroit, under $200 per person. Ft. Lauderdale has no directs, just changeovers.

Also, everyone take a look at 5:55 in the video above. This was a TD reception I referred to a few weeks back that he made in the playoff game against Palmetto. Notice how high he jumps over the taller defender. Very impressive.

genron187, most of your games at Tropical? Palmetto ended up a lot at Harris (I like that close in feel, along with the home side at that new stadium at FIU). I used to like Tropical when they had those big stands on the home side way back in the day (the side you were filming from).

Just to add a little to this...AirTran starting March 18th is running non-stop from FLL (Ft. Lauderdale - Hollywood) to CMH (Columbus, OH). This is going to be the only non-stop from Ft. Lauderdale - Columbus. Also, have a huge vested interest in this since I got F'ed by Skybus, as I have a huge correleation from FLL (live in Weston), and CMH (Ohio State Grad)

Thanks, I''ll keep it in mind for future reference.
I think Berry is going to be a stud at O-state. Coaching against him since his freshman was hard. He runs hard every play and is very compact with a low running motion. Hard to get a hit on him plus he's no small dude as a RB. LJ really enjoyed that game. Since we were playing a game i couldnt be there. All he kept talking about is how he ran Berry down and like 10 tackles on him. Right now O-state is like #2. FSU is falling, and falling fast. Its hard to feel confident sending someone you love into there program. They have some great guys...but they also have some not ok guys and control doesn't seem there. Are maybe its just me. lol, hey Coach Cooley told me that they are realigning Miami and taking Amato. Said he's not getting the job done.
