BerryFan, it's official baby. The rich has gotten richer. LJ is the newest member of the St. Thomas Aquinas student body. It's a great move academically, they will prepare him educationally so he will college ready. This move was totally not about football. He has his offers already so football is not a problem. Being ready to go is the key and thats the only goal right now. He has a full course load now and great people working with him. STA is better than advertised.

Of course...I already knew this and you tried throwing me and this board off with the "other" two schools. lol

See.....I do read your posts.

Good luck next season.....I guess i will be making a drive for a game or two. STA is LOADED with talent.

To me, this doesnt look good for my squad. Not sure if CC is still involved with STA, but i'm sure he will be around. It's hard to argue with one of the top receivers of all-time telling you about O State.

I know Deion was coaching LJ a little, but he is a recruiting asset to FSU in name only....he doesnt battle for kids to go there....it's a good thing overall, but not when you are trying to land the #1 CB in the country.

The only way this backfires on you guys is if Duron hates his experience in columbus, which is not something i'm betting on.

I'm hoping the pressure to stay in-state sticks with him, but i doubt genron is gonna let any outside pressure get in the way of what LJ really wants to do.

Please genron, i beg you, do not let the sharks at bama, lsu or florida (shudder) sink their teeth in your boy. they will tell him all he wants to hear and more, but he wont get the family atmosphere and values he would get either at my school or O-state.

also, congrats on him being featured on espn...but i have a feeling in due time you wont have to go into the recruiting page to see his pic....espn.com should work just fine :)

Excellent school. A fine tradition of producing outstanding football players, having great academics and one of the finest high school coaching staffs in the country.

Will have to see what the out-of-district schedule holds for STA, as there only non-Broward game except for the playoffs (they were 5A champs along with being crowned national champions) was a nice matchup against Cincinnati Elder (great game, but STA took it 35-24).

Will Cris Carter be coaching at STA next year or is he done now that Duron has moved on?

He should still be there.

Wondered the same thing (or other premiere opponents), and whether they might be on TV.

I heard they have 3 TV games.

Man, number one team in the nation adds arguably the number one player in the country.
Genron, will Northwestern match up against STA in the pre season or actual season?

Right about now, Northwestern dont want no part of STA to be real. I wouldn't want to face that secondary...or see LJ on returns.

Can't wait to see how he does at STA. As for having Cris Carter on his coaching staff, I doubt that would have an impact on his decision. According to Duron, it wasn't really a factor in his decision. If Cris didn't blanket his own son with recruiting advice, I doubt he would do it to someone else's kid. Can't hurt our chances with him though!:oh:

lol....Ya man i tried to keep it under wraps as long as I can. Man it got out Sunday with CC talking to loud and one scout heard it. I got questions all day and told them to please dont say nothing until he's in. Problem with Columbus was it got out to soon and the people at his school who's taking it personal jumped all over it. Anywayz, had to try and throw you off. Hey buckwild we got to meet up at one of these events and kick it.

Genron187,

LOL funny funny man...

When and Where, brah? I'd really like to make it to the next EVENT LJ participate's in.
I was going to attend the one at Dolphins stadium but got side tracked.

Anyway....Watch out for Junior to be wide receiver Phillip Dorsett, he's the best sophomore Duron Carter has ever seen.

Carter said: "He is going to be a great player."

The talent at STA is silly...it's Broward's West. (Northwestern)

LJ and Riggs at CB ===== not fair.

Broward seems LOADED this year....more than normal, LJ adds to that list and moves into #1, imo.

High School National Champions add Lamarcus Joyner

Cornerback Lamarcus Joyner has enrolled at Saint Thomas Aquinas High in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to ESPN's JC Shurburtt.

The ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect comes to STA from Miami Southwest. It was rumored he may enroll at Miami Columbus, but he settled on Aquinas.

Joyner recently stated that Florida, Florida State, Miami-FL, Notre Dame and Ohio State are in his early top five.
