Playing S at STA but getting a ton of work at corner. They play a ton of cover 0 as well so he will be man a lot.

Last 7 on practice sunday 2 @Miramar HS

Thank you.

That's up Douglass road....If it's open to the public, (which i assume it is)...I will take a ride up there tomorrow and take a look at some South Florida talent.

Heard Joyner attended Miami's scrimmage today....i'm sure the Hometown Canes will be in it until the end. (Heard Jacory Harris lit it up too)

Larmarcus seems like such a well rounded person. It seems like LJ has a great support system, and I hope he continues to stay close to these people, like genron. Larmarcus would be a kid that would thrive in Coach Tressel's system. He sounds like he could be a special player. Come on Coach Haynes, bring Larmarcus to Columbus, O-H-I-O!!

Did you see the NFL Network top 10 coaches that should have stayed in college? I forget where Saban ranked (top 5 IIRC), and they had a Dolphin exec who they interviewed. It was brutal. The exec didn't pull any punches, and called him every name in the book without swearing. You would have thought Nick Saban was the devil incarnate. The only one worse was Petrino, but not by much.

I was still living in the area when this all took place. Believe me, most people in S. FL see Saban as Satan himself. There were a lot of stories after he left about his maltreatment of the office personell and others within the organization and I don't think you will find anyone that would step up and say they are sad he is gone. Although, people were just livid when he ran out of town on a plane and called the team from the airport to let them know he was leaving for Bama.

He is a master salesman and will recruit well, but he is NOT...I repeat NOT an honorable man and looks out for 1 person...himself. He could care less about the players or other coaches. His only concern is winning games and looking out for himself, at the expense of anyone else around him. I give him a couple of more years at Bama before he is looking to move on to another sucker team. He comes in like the "White Knight" but that is not what he is.

I remember hearing the nickname OSaban Bin Lyin a lot, that's how much hatred there was towards him. When you're name is being said as a pun to somebody of that nature, it can't be a good thing.

That said, he's a heck of a recruiter and bringing Alabama back to where they should be, once again respected on the field, even if they aren't off of it.

it'd be easy to make a long winded post on why Ohio State is the choice, but in all honesty, all it takes is a look at the recent drafts.

Seriously.... that is all it takes.

I'm sure other programs have different things to offer, but not a single program has the same track record at DB as OSU.

That is over-simplified, but it is what it is. Highest paid DB in the league(Nate Clements), along with Antoine Winfield, Donte Whitner, Shawn Springs, Chris Gamble, Ashton Youboty, Mike Doss, Donnie Nickey, Dustin Fox, Nate Salley, Will Allen, and soon to be first rounder in Malcolm Jenkins and high riser Donald Washington.

There isn't another program in the NCAA producing talent like that at DB in the NCAA over the last 10-15 years. It is what it is....

Good weather is great, and having the notoriety of playing in the SEC is awesome, but when it comes down to it, even this years top 2 cornerbacks are Malcolm Jenkins and Vontae Davis. Who can develop the rock into a diamond?

In unrelated news, Alabama could be in some hot water:

Alabama admits to NCAA violations over books - ESPN

Saban = trouble.

I know this is off topic, but I'm stunned that Alabama might have NCAA violations so soon into Nick Saban's tenure!!!

"Compliance with NCAA and SEC rules is of the utmost importance to the University of Alabama and our athletics department, and I am pleased with the way our compliance officers handled this situation," Alabama President Dr. Robert Whitt said...

Can you just see the president sitting around a table with Saban and some boosters and everyone laughing as they wrote this release? I can.

Back to Lamarcus and why he should come to Ohio State!!!:)

Just got back from the 7 on 7 FINAL practice/scrimmage....

I got to sit with a kid in the stands who goes to STA, Vladimir Rock....WR/CB from STA. Very nice kid who told me that Coach Carter is not leaving STA until their STAR WR graduates.

During warm ups...Joyner came up and greeted Vlad......I guess he did not want to be rude and extended is hand and greeted me.

Now the juicy stuff.....Joyner's play....that's why I was there. He has excellent hands for a kid his age off the line....you can tell someone is teaching him technique. VERY physical off the line of scrimmage....will punch a WR in the chest off the line and stay with him. Had a very nice long deep ball break up. He can play man 2 man ANYDAY against ANYONE. He's about 5'8 and very well built in the shoulders, like a brick. #1 player in state....by far.

Jaamal Berry was also there.....at the end of practice as i was leaving i see a kid on crutches....and it's JB...as he walked by me I gave him the OH......and I heard the IO. ( don't know if it was him or the kid next to him that said IO) I was walking away myself.

Uncle Genron187 was also there coaching the defense.....But...Yes...I chickened out and did not greet him. LOL

Maybe next time...

Thanks for the analysis. Confirms everything we've been thinking/hearing!
