LB A.J. Hawk (2x All-American, Lombardi Trophy, National Champion, Super Bowl Champion)

That was a great catch! One thing that I love about Hawk is he doesn't seem to have Andy Kat syndrome, or to put it better, nobody has said that he failed golf classes, ect.

how about the ball that simon knocked down, he really got up there!

It seems Hawk sure plays with alot of PASSION out there on every play. And Fraser I thought was going to intercept that one pass by Dowdell but he knocked it down. Our defense played hard in that game and the offense has to be thankful for that as it finally came of age in the last 3 minutes of the game. I'm sure Chris Speilman is happy for the way AJ is playing.

Hawk is a tremendous athlete that will make an impact in the NFL--after he graduates. Hawk is one of those rare athletes, like Byars, that can play football in so many different ways. He has great hands, played some offense in High School, and is like a magnet to the ball carrier. If teams don't fear these linebackers yet, they will. I can't wait until these three knock the tar out of Vince Young next year. It will be "Clint Ingram who?"

Fraser became a wall when Dowdell tried to zip one over his head. I didn't realize he could get up like that.

Imagine our linebacking core next year if Carpenter and Hawk are uninjured!
Yah, Carpenter had a monster game against MSU with 13 tackles. Good to see, I hadn't heard his name called much the previous weeks. They'll both need to be at their best with Purdue and their dink-and-dunk passing game.

our Defene next year SHOULD be prolly one of the better in the nation. I know the best Linebacking crew thats for sure! We'll still be alittle thing at Defensive End though. Anyways Hawk is our best player by far.

I'd rank them
1. Hawk
2. Fox
3. Nugent
4. Ginn/Holmes
what you guys think?!

Isn't there a board rule about making stupid asserations about players changing positions for no reason?
I was making an allusion to a thread I started a little bit ago. http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/showthread.php?p=63202#post63202 On a weekend where Hawk and Vrabel both made incredible catches, I felt compeled to mention the idea of defensive stars being used as situational players on offense. The post was still on topic of Hawk's interception but kind of like an I told you so.:tongue2: However, it's not worth starting a new thread on the subject and hardly worth exploring the idea again now. With two games left in the regular season it's just worth a quip and a smile.
