LB Coach James Laurinaitis (2x B1G DPOY, 2006 Nagurski, 2007 Butkus, 2008 Lott, 3x All-American, OSU HOF)

I really got a kick out of that Nissan Titan commercial airing every single commercial break -- hearing Black Sabbath's "Iron Man," which was also the song that the Legion of Doom used when they came out to the ring back in their heyday.
What a rush!!

JL is just simply amazing, I never would have expected him to be THIS good, I thought it might take him a few games to really start shining, but he came out of the gates this season tearing through every offense we've played against. Great job so far Animal! Keep it up and your destined for future greatness!!

When was the last time anyone heard of a LB with four picks in 5 games?
When was the last time anyone heard of a LB with 4 picks at all?
I think he has the pass protection down pat.:)
He would've had five, too. He had already jumped the route and was set up for the pick on the INT that Freeman tipped to himself. Marcus intercepted Laurinaitis's interception.

OK who is playing the best D this years so far? I think its Laurenitis with Pitcock right there
Definitely Pitcock, but Laurinaitis just keeps getting better, and has many years left to continue that trend.

Not to be contrary but I think that was a completion where Jamo busted coverage and Tate picked up like 20. It still was a great hit.
I'm thinking the same thing; that was a ridiculous play by Tate with JL pantsing him on national TV. Very disappointing form on that tackle by Laurinaitis in the photo too, with his pads low and his hands locked around the QB's legs ... he's the son of a pro wrestler, he should know that Gholston's one arm/clothesline technique is far more effective at dropping the ball carrier. :tongue2:

You're probably right... given the lineman doing nothing in the background, I thought he was the guy who sort of stood and stared as JL ran by for the sack.
