LB David "Boom" Perkins (transfer to Illinois State)

As for David, some seem to think he is built like a Safety, but I'm thinking a speedy LB (as his listed position would tend to indicate). Thoughts?

Definitely a LB. Fast OLB. He's got all the physical gifts and is an athletic specimen. Now he needs to work hard at being a football player. I'm told that he can disappear at times, but I think that's more about youth than anything.

ESPN - Meyer gets commit No. 6

1/18

Last week, Urban Meyer was asked how he felt about his 2012 recruiting class. He answered ?good but not great.?

Well, this week will start changing that as Ohio State picked up its second commitment in as many days when four-star athlete David Perkins (South Bend, Ind./Washington) committed to Ohio State late Tuesday.

Perkins officially visited the Buckeyes this past weekend and fought committing while in Columbus. He wanted to take his official visits because that was part of the reason he decommitted from Notre Dame back in October; he is scheduled to visit Illinois this weekend and California on Jan. 27.

This is out of control. A mob. Floodgate stuff. A maximum recruiting blitz.

Reverberations of Woody Hayes:
Q: Mr Meyer, why did you recruit X number of great players?
A: Because they (NCAA) wouldn't let me recruit X+3 great players.
