Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

This is for another thread but NCAA baketball IMHO was at its Zenith 90 to 93..... The Top 35 teams were unreal.

Couple of thoughts to leave you with.... JJ, fab 5, UNLV, IU, Duke, Glen Robinson, G-town, UC all out of control good I can go on about this...Some players... Jimmy, Kidd, Morning, Shaq, Larry Johnson, Hurley, Hill, Weber's dumb ass... and on and on.... did I mention Chris f ing Jent
its all about perspective. but reality is as soon as kids started leaving college earlier it degenerated, then kids went to college for a year or two, then straight from high school and then it was pretty much garbage, much like todays one and done era...

I would be curious to see when the uptick in AAU popularity began. My gut says that there is a connection between the rise of AAU basketball becoming a huge beast and degeneration you mention.

The Big East of the 80's was unreal. Ewing, Mullen, Pearl Washington at Syracuse all for 3-4 years at the same school.

JOFH is right, it was all good until they started going pro too early, that ruined CBB (and the NBA too).
