Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

There's numerous posts in this thread, where that smiley would have better been served. I'm not the one crying, here.

You honestly think he'd be that much less hated if he left but didn't do "the decision" As bad as the announcement was, I think it just gives people an excuse to hate on him for leaving. The real reason people are mad is because he left. If he were a lesser talent and did not have the same ohio ties, I doubt anyone would have cared if he made a 2hr presentation with promos announcing he was leaving.

I get it. I'm an ohio guy, but come on. Give the guy a break. And to the person that said he quit on the cavs, Lebron literally carried that team the years he was here. No one did more for Cleveland basketball than Lebron did.

This is, without a doubt, the most bullshit I may have ever read on this forum. And yes, you are the one crying.

Did you watch his last couple games as a Cavalier? It would be hard to argue that he gave it his all in those final games against Boston. I'm not saying he wasn't a good player for the Cavs but those last games left a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths. I guess at least he didn't quit for basically an entire season like chris bosh did with Toronto.

True, but those same people have to consider what he did for Cleveland the whole time he was there. Cleveland wouldn't have been playing boston if it weren't for Lebron.

Was it that he quit or that he hadn't yet learned how to be a closer and lead a team? Even last year, you can argue he "quit" against the Mavs. He's grown a lot emotionally and in his game this postseason and it showed as he led the heat to a title.

Sorry to rain on everyone's hate parade, but, like I said, I wish he would have won in Ohio, also.

you've got it wrong. Crying is bashing the guy after he wins the title, years after leaving cleveland. Crying is still holding strong, negative feelings about the guy. Crying is not pointing out how childish and immature a lot of the hatred he receives is.

Answer this, if you think what I said was bs, do you honestly think if Lebron wasn't as big of a player and as focal a point to cleveland as he was that people would care so much about the "decision" ? Most people wouldn't have tuned in.

I rarely care about the personalities of athletes and I wouldn't care at all about LeBron if he had just had a ten minute press conference and drove to the airport.

Instead, he publically took a shit on Cleveland and the Cavs in the most self-aggrandizing way he could think of, then he and his sycophant brigade couldn't understand why that pissed people off. Fuck him.

So you're saying he was immature? Yeah, who made a horrible decision with how he left, and why he left after promising his hometown team a championship.

He got greedy, quit on Cleveland, and bounced like he didn't care.

There's a post somewhere in this thread before Lebron left made by me.. it says something like "even if Lebron leaves, I'll probably still root for the guy." I think I may have elaborated on that.

He blew that into space when he decided to do the decision - not letting his teammates and fans know where he was going until he was on live TV. He made a spectacle of himself. Then the Heat did their stupid as fuck pep rally. Not three, not four, etc. I honestly don't know how anyone can't hate him at this point. He's done nothing to make anyone like him since leaving Cleveland. It's almost like he tried to be an asshole.

To answer your question, yes. He would be mostly hated by Cavs fans, but the entire league's fans hate him. He gets boo'd everywhere. If he just left Cleveland with no incidents, other fanbases wouldn't care. They'd probably even understand. Stop being dense.

The Lebron trolls have returned. A few rules one should know about the trolls:

1. They hate Lebron almost as much as we do. They just won't admit it because it doesn't serve their purpose.

2. Their purpose is to annoy, generally harass, and get under you skin. Your choice if you let them.

3. They only come around once or twice a year, if something good happens to Lebron. They hibernate the rest of the time.

4. They don't always seek out pictures of Lebron with his shirt off to fulfill their masturbatory desires.

5. Ignore them and they go away.

...all while spouting [censored] that he's incredibly loyal, he loves Ohio, etc. He's a joke.

not sure anyone has mentioned this, but the thing that stings the most to me is losing out to florida again. Indians vs Marlins, Buckeyes vs gators '06 title game basketball and football, sharrif floyd to florida over ohio state...

Lebron choose a florida team over an ohio team and went out an won a title there. Did we do something to florida in the past to deserve such punishment from their sports teams?

So many old Ohioans live in FL, it is just like Ohio there. So, when a recruit gets the chance to go somewhere he is familiar with, FL is just as well as OH...

Seriously, go there sometime. You will find plenty of Mid-West accents and New England accents. Its kinda weird. I have a subcontractor that is born and bred Floridian and he swears he could move to another state and find more people from FL than are there right now...

On another note, does Lebron have a thing for High School girls. I listened to the B&T show and Chick made an interesting comment about that...
