Carr is a dispicible human being who has done nothing but whine, cry and snivel to gain any and all unfair advantages he could over the past decade. He is a POS and deserves everything he gets. If he were laying on the curb with his guts on fire, I wouldn't cross the street to piss on him.

As far as this argument goes, I can't agree with Brutus. While teams like PSU, Purdue, etc. are better now than they were in the 70's, so is every other team in the country. So is every other conference. So what? The objective is still to win games, and as many as possible. I highly doubt that it is more difficult for any team to go undefeated now than it was in 1970....and if I wasn't so damn lazy, I would do some research to back that up. Maybe bkb will do so when he is back. Anyhoo, my point is that competition is competition. The record is what matters, and the record shows that Carr is a little biznitch who didn't get pissed on when his guts caught fire. It also shows that he's shitty coach in comparison with Bo. And all this "the competition is better now" is a load of shit. It may be, but that just means the "elite" teams need to be that much better. How many seasons has scUM ever gone undefeated? If one were to use Brutus' logic, then in the 60's and 70's, scUM should have 10 undefeated seasons, because the competition was so bad....come on, bkb, do my leg work here!

Before this thread dies, I would would like to point out that, with all the anti-Carr stuff on the scUm Insider board, there has not been one word of defense from Brett. As Carr's number one fan, I thought Brett would be right there at his side. I guess it's true, rats do abandon sinking ships.

I also noticed that there wasn't anyone defending Car. I would have thought there would be a couple people defending him. He's not a dream coach but he got to the rose bowl last year and he only lost 1 game so far this year. I don't like car by any stretch of the imagination but I would think that there would be at least a couple people that would defend him. I guess his fans are just as cowardly and sneaky as the rest of their fan base.

Personally, I think Carr's there because of one reason..Tradition of keeping coaches around.

Like Ohio State, Michigan doesn't hire coaches for short periods of time. I think once a coach gets established there, he's there until he really fucks up.

Has Carr really fucked up yet? Not really.

You lobbed arguements in like grapefruit and I took you out of the park every time.

My contention was Carr isn't that good, you said that was "bullshit" and gave some he won a Championship and Bo didn't garbage. I showed how that didn't explain anything. Then you lobbed in some stuff about how tough the Big Ten is with this team and that and I explained with facts how your contentions were inaccurate. Then you started in with this "I've been misunderstood" garbage.

If you want to argue Carr's a good coach, that's fine. Please do so with some information other than your own opinion. (see post on page 1 addressing unproven assertions)

All of these posts about Lloyd and nobody mentions the tirade he had on Saturday.

Breaston was fielding a punt while there was contact with another player. He fumbled the punt and ND recovered. Lloyd storms the field, jumping around and ranting at the ref spotting the ball for ND. I was very disappointed that they didn't flag him for unsportsmanlike conduct.

It was great to see on the replay that Breaston was stepped on/bumped into by a TSUN player running past him while trying to block the gunner.

But it was fun to see the contortion's on that whiner's face.

And I was watching the tOSU-Marshall game at the same time. But I'm assuming that's why most folks didn't see Lloyd's rant.
