Ah, Best Buckeye is the thinking man's humor. Assume that Best Buckeye owns the MacDonald's and the tsun 'business acquiantance' works for him......not the other way around.

Folks, this just shows us how much smarter Michigan is than Ohio State. They'd get rid of Llloyd after 1-6, rather than us waiting to get rid of Coop for being 2-10-1. I guess they're almost twice as smart? :shake:

:gobucks3::gobucks4::banger:Bring on whomever they replace Llloyd with, we'll beat them regardless!

Lloyd Carr is under fire for losing last four bowls and last three Ohio State games.

FOR THE PAST several years, rumors have circulated that Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr could be stepping down because of unspecified health reasons. For the duration of those rumors, the reason most often cited was a nasty case of Scarlet fever - as in Ohio State's Scarlet and Gray.

Actually, they reckon they have a good chance to beat us in Ann Arbor this year. If they did, then I'll bet he has at least three more years if the next game in Ann Arbor is a close loss and they win a bowl game somewhere in there. That would be just about the same. :)

Steve19, I agree with you. This year has the best odds that Michigan has had to whup up on OSU in a long time. What with their high octane offense, and potential all-pros waiting to fit into their Ron English defense, AND in the Big House, they figure to pound the Buckeyes into the turf. At least that is what the pundits, magazines, and now the Big 10 network has to say. However.........

I do agree that they have the edge, but they'll match their strength (offense) with our strength (defense), and the two 'weak' parts of each match up. I think we can agree on that. And they have the edge, as Mike Hart has publiclly stated he wants to beat OSU before he graduates (or runs out of eligibility), not having bested the Buckeyes in his three years so far.

I do believe that we are on the roll that Michigan was on against Coop. No matter the odds (and we had more future pros than they did, etc) I believe that our boys will win. They are a bit more 'desperate' and with Tress's laid back confidence oozing out to his players, I believe the Bucks will pull it out. By then, the raw Buckeye offense will be blooded and honed. (Hopefully no major injuries along the way). So will they, but hey, this is a Buckeye thread.

Having said all that, I believe that Llloyd will be kicked upstairs or retire, unless they win a BCS bowl after secumbing to the Bucks this fall. Just my thoughts. Anyone think Les Miles will take the job?

Has anybody seen Lllllloyd answer a question about going for 2 in the 3rd quarter, when the score was 31-26? If he kicked the point there, they could have kicked another one after Hart's last TD, which would have put them up 3. Possible OT in that scenario.
