Holtz is an Idiot

I'm surprised sooo many people are just starting to realize this.
I have been preaching this for years now but no one seems to believe me.
He is a sneaking little weasel that fools the public with the nice guy front.
Every college program that he has been head coach of has either been put on probation after he left or was (at the least ) in verrry deep shit.
Of coarse ESPN only hires the best.

Hes on right now, making himself look dumber than he already appears.

Mark May says something like they need to give Dangelo Williams the ball 25-30 times this game, he already has 84 yards in the first half. And Holtz says something like "thats a great strategy if you want to lose."

Wow...

I have to laugh at the "best all-time" stuff. It's like no one ever thinks about any of the past teams when they say stuff like that. I mean Leinart the best QB of all time? Bush the best RB of all-time? The TV people say it because it appeals to the audience with a less-than-5-minute attention span...which is 90% of the world, I think.

ESPN bought squeegees and umbrellas when they hired Holtz. The production crew puts on rain ponchos and rubber boots to stay dry.

What if....

Weiss goes 0-12 next year, and gets fired. ESPN could hire him, and have Holtz with his slobbering, Weiss with his runny nose, and Mark May just being a dumbass. Then they could move the show to Comedy Central and try to corner yet another TV audience market.

Holtz was a helluva coach when he got to ND. But ND corrupts you, most Domers fall in love with themselves. They think they invented football and are superior to all others. Tim Brown is the exception, a hard working blue-collar kind of guy. Many other Domers go around thinking the world should bow down to them. Chief is one of the few ND fans who thinks for himself and puts the koolaid down. Holtz, Digger et.al just love to pontificate..lol.

HM MM you guys do realize that Lou is a self described Wood Hayes deciple..

He very well be getting to old for TV but the bottom line is that he forgot more about football than any of us will ever know.
That is a profoundly fair point CHIEF - however, he sure has a LOT to learn on the fine art of being a Studio Analyst.
