Game Thread Marshall vs tOSU, Thursday Sep 2, 7:30 pm ET, BTN

i meant layed an egg as in not doing as our talent suggests and keeping teams that don't belong with us on the same field, in the game. we haven't lost one of those that i can recall except for the purdue debacle which may be a big learning lesson for this year.

my fault for the over exaggeration:biggrin:

Naaaaaaw. New year, new team. A VERY good and determined team at that from what I've read. I think we pillage the herd and we'll see Kenny G in his first collegiate game.
You almost gotta feel bad for team if we get a big lead and bring in Kenny G, J. Berry, C. Hyde, and recievers like James Louis, and Philly Brown... Yikes!

Tressel is going to use this as a scrimmage, if Ohio State gets a couple of touchdowns ahead. He will not want to show Da U anything he doesn't have to or to have the team think they walk on water. A score in the region of 24-3 would be characteristic of Tressel ball.

This is a big reason I think we see a very Tresselesque game of ball control and a lot of ground game. I would love to see the offense open up and air it out, but I am not getting my hopes up for the Marshall game.

A win is a win, I'll take it how ever it comes.

I agree, except I think the score is closer. Maybe even 24-17 or 24-21 close.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Former Clemson quarterback Willy Korn's attempt at playing at another Football Bowl Subdivision program was short-lived.
Korn is transferring to Division II North Greenville after an ill-fated try at making the roster at Marshall. North Greenville athletics spokesman Micah Sepko said Tuesday that Korn is registered for classes and is at the Tigerville, S.C., school's football facility.
Korn, who earned his undergraduate degree from Clemson in May, was hoping to compete for the starting job at Marshall, but coach Doc Holliday moved him to safety last week.

JT will strike a balance between winning big enough to keep poll voters relatively happy and playing as vanilla as possible in doing so while keeping the players focused. No way will he allow it to be anywhere near a 24-17 or 24-21 game. I can see a 31-10 game...jump on Marshall early, and then sit Pryor for most of the second half.

now that I think about it....the majority of my prediction comes from the Navy game last year....which really wasn't that close. and if he had the chance to do it again, JT probably kicks that FG.

I'll change my guess to 24-13
