Maryland WR Stefon Diggs (official thread)

Did Gonzo really have ultra elite explosiveness? He had one of the best pairs of hands I've ever seen don the S&G but I don't know about explosiveness. But like you say, he's not coming here to be the next DJax or Harvin. He's here to become the first Stefon Diggs :oh:

I think describing Gonzo as explosive is fair after watching him play. At the combine he ran a 4.44 40, tied for the best 20 yard shuttle, he had the best 3 cone drill.

But agreed on Diggs, he will be his own player. Would love to see him play for tOSU.

I'm no expert, but Diggs has nowhere the explosiveness that Harvin and Deshaun Jackson had/have, nor the top speed that Jackson and Ted Ginn had/have. Not saying he won't be great, but he doesn't have ultra elite explosiveness (think Anthony Gonzalez) or top gear that says "gone" in a college game once those guys got daylight.

this is the dumbest post i have read in at least a week and a half...please go back to post #256 that jwinslow posted with all the high school footage of Ginn, Jackson and Harvin...their explosiveness doesnt look too much different in high school then Diggs...Ginn in particular is one of a kind...besides maybe devin hester, i cant think of anyone else that can literally go from 0 to 30 in 2 seconds...and the first part of this quote is fine, thats your opinion but then you put the words "ultra elite explosiveness" and Anthony Gonzalez in the same line...

ultra elite explosiveness -- was what jumped out at me when I see his videos.. the kid is at top gear in 2 strides...

I still don't see the Harvin comparisons. I see similar size, speed and moves to Reggie Bush. I know they play different positions, but that's what I see. I do not see Harvin or Jackson.

Gibson is far from a lock, but agreed. And you gotta know Diggs it's going to drum up the suspense on this one the next couple weeks. I feel good about where we're at but I'm not going to invest much in what will be said up until he signs.

He's a lock, bank it. I think were in good hands this year at WR, so getting Diggs would just be icing on the cake. Devin, Philly, Verlon and Evan are all ready to shine..

^This. I would love to get Diggs. However, I also can't wait to see what some of our young, talented, but relatively inexperienced receivers can do with a new offense and playcallers. GO BUCKS!

agree....especially Devin Smith. He's a sub 10.5m guy........but what is it about him that kept him from returning KO ?
