Matt Barnes (DC Memphis Tigers)

This staff has far to many non recruiters who aren’t GODs of their position coaching … Barnes is one, Flemming, Studs, Wilson (kinda), hell Coombs had a down year this year … Denis kinda as well but anyways,… far to many guys that can’t/wont recruit but are just Ok at their job of coaching… this should not be the case for tOSU…
Then why are their recruiting rankings always so good?

by "their" I assume you mean tOSU? They are good because of .... Hartline, Alford, Washington, LJsr (to an existent)... table real bares it out. this is all subjective per 247 but still its not out of line I don't think.

B1G recruiter rankings - per 24/7 (classes 2019 - 2022):

“Admirable” until the last two games.

I wouldn’t have been too upset had Barnes been retained in some capacity, but this doesn’t bother me. He deserves some kudos for stopping the bleeding on defense in September/October on the fly. But, that wasn’t exactly a murderer’s row of opponents and when the Saturday after Thanksgiving came around the wounds started gushing blood again, which continued into today.

Wish him well in Memphis.
