Very true, I will have my towel ready. And I have no idea about the megaphone.

The type of thing I'm thinking of is when Iowa to came to town ranked Numero Uno and Spielman et al -- with more than a little help from the 12th man just made life murder all day. We made noise from before the whistle to well after the game was done. I practically could not talk the next morning!

That was one hell of a good crowd that day - during awful weather, rainy and chilly. And that ended up being a great performance by the Buckeyes upsetting the Hawkeyes..

We could do with another one like that this Saturday -- a classic, not the EF***N Instant type - but a real classic game. One that boggles your mind with what the Buckeyes did - and how they did it - years from now.

Iowa in '85 was a great game. Also the Illinois game in '84 Byars ran wild and out of his shoe in the Shoe. Was at both of those. Also the scum game @ scum - When Schlichter scored we were seated in that end zone and had beer poured down our backs.

Why we win......

There is one reason and one reason alone that our beloved Buckeyes will pull off the win this Saturday (26-24). There is nothing left to do. Let's face it, there is nothing else to play for. A win on Saturday is it. That will be the difference. No titles, no particular bowl game as a reward, just a win over scUM. What else is there? They will play with a sense of urgency and excitement that we haven't seen all year and it will be an incredibly exciting win. It will be a third set of pants for the seniors. It will be a great victory for our head coach, the fans, the state of Ohio, and tOSU. The players will not settle for anything less. Just beating TSUN will be all the motivation this team will need.

GO BUCKS! Beat Michigan! Nothing else matters.:oh: :io: :scum4::cheers:

McKinley is also coming to watch two teams that he likes. If we lose, he's probably gone. We'll be 6-5. If we win, we'll be 7-4, and have proven how amazing the shoe is even during a down year. I'd say a win gives us a big boost in bringing in McKinley. And DL recruits are crucial for tresselball.

Thoughts And Prayers Needed!!!!

For ME Goddamnit!

For the first time in my life (well, since 1971 that is) I will NOT be able to watch "The Game."

New jobs sadly bring new scheduling and I'm the asshole that gets to work 10:00am-9:00pm on saturday.

I'm going to try the "taping of the game" routine and watch it when I get home but I'm sure that won't work. Some dickhead will come in the store and talk shit about it, word will undoubtedly get to me somehow.

The pisser is that I'll be spending the whole day just thinking about what I'm missing. I'll be like a little kid thinking about Coach Hayes and Archie. About Tom Klaben and Ray Griffin. About Todd Bell and Jim Laughlin. About Vaughn Broadnax basically taking out the entire scUM defense to lead Art into the end zone. About TimSpencer and Marcus Marek. About "the catch" by Mike Lanese. About Chris Spielman and Keith Byars. About a Black Fedora, Red Shoes, and "Earle" headbands. About Germaine, Wiley, and Boston. About Coach Tressel, "J-Dubs" and Doss. About MoC and CK. About Will Allen.

The short list deserves more, but I just threw this out real quick. Hopefully, somehow I will be able to get home "in the dark" and watch this wonderful event without knowing the outcome. Or, maybe I'll win the "mega-Millions" jackpot on friday and get to watch the game from the 50 yard line. One can only hope. Peace.
