Michigan chatter - 2005

Well they saw that the Texas game brought out hundreds of thousand OSU fans that were very disrepectfull and to be honest, destructive. That type of occurance wasnt even at a game where the emotions will be 100x the magnitude with both teams in the top 20, both fighting for a BCS spot, a conference title, and one simple word - pride. ESPN is fully aware how unfriendly this pre-game/game/post-game could potentially be. However, though they wouldnt want to go, they still wanna milk the shit out of the publictiy for "The Game" by pumping it up hard on their Gameday commercials. They still want OSU-Michigan fans through the nation to tune in as if they were up in Ann Arbor. When they tend to visit a campus, they generally spend most of the time with couple stories on players for the teams that they are attending as well as the coaches and life at that particular campus. They know that OSU-Michigan fans are gonna be pumped up and they want them to still tune in, instead of being out preping for the game so early. They still want the recognition of covering this game, without being in the crossfire of the feuding fans.

The only way i could see it helping much w/ crowd noise is if we get up big and early... There is no way these people are paying for tickets and are not going to get loud.

And did someone say Mark May said something that made sense? Exsqueeze Me? Bakingsoda?

Yep - and it had pretty good analogy, along the lines as what everyone is agreeing to. Who woulda thunk?! lol.

A few Penn State fans are already starting with the conspiracy theory - everybody is out to get them, and Gameday is there simply to pump up Michigan St in order to knock PSU out of the BCS. Un-fucking-believable.

hmmm i thought the same thing. IMO i really dont care. msu needs all the help they can get and if it does help then hey so be it. its a travesty they are not in ann arbor but oh well. its not that far anyways.

that upon reflection I should have voted for Hart. It's not because I think Hart has the best chance of succeeding, but because if he's having a good game that bodes well for the bad guys.

My feelings too. If Hart is having a good day that means they are running the ball effectively, eating up the clock, keeping our D on the field too much and our O on the bench too long.
