I am very sorry that this happened to Tyson and can only guess that someone got in his face with some stupid question about his daughter's death. He's created his own hell on Earth, but one has to feel for him at a time like this.

Mike Tyson to host pigeon show: Hot Clicks - SI.com - Extra Mustard

mike-tyson.jpg

Via a press release I received this morning from Animal Planet: "Building on the success of the network's rebrand and content transformation, Animal Planet has announced a new show with Mike Tyson, currently known as Taking on Tyson, where the former heavyweight champion of the world will take audiences inside the intensely competitive and bizarrely fascinating world of pigeon racing. Slated to film this spring in New York City and debut in early 2011, the show will give audiences an insider's look at pigeon rearing and racing, a sport that is far from the mainstream." I swear, I did not make up one word of that.

Mike Tyson: I?m a pig, my whole life is a waste

Mike Tyson, feature interview in August issue of Details Magazine, on the plans for the second stage in his life: ?The first stage of my life was just a whole bunch of selfishness. Just a whole bunch of gifts to myself and people who didn?t necessarily deserve it. Now I?m 44, and I realize that my whole life is just a fucking waste. ?Greatest man on the planet?? I wasn?t half the man I thought I was. So if there?s a big plan now, it?s just to give?it?s selflessness, caring for the people who deserve it. Because I think I?m a pig. I have this uncanny ability to look at myself in the mirror and say, ?This is a pig. You are a fucking piece of shit.? Details: Sounds painful. Mike Tyson: ?No, not at all. Objectively, I?m a pig. That?s why it?s very difficult for me when people are offering me all that adulation and love. I just feel dirty. These people want to hug me, they want to touch me, and I?m feeling like, ?Get your fucking hands off me.? I feel that energy of theirs, and it?s just filth and murder. It?s not that they?re bad people necessarily; it?s just that they did something bad, and you can feel it on them. I have to go and wash up before I touch my own kids. And after I lost my 4-year-old daughter? All these people reached out and I realized: I just want to be of service to people. I need to help. I need to have something, finally, that I can offer people in this world.? ? DETAILS MAGAZINE

I was a huge Tyson fan, as most of us were in the late 80's and early 90's. He made mistakes. A lot of them. But I'm glad he has found himself, and I hope he makes a lasting impact on the world before he leaves. He had the power to mesmerize the world with his skills in the ring. I hope when all is said and done we look back and say the stuff he did from 2010 on is what really mattered.

I totally agree with this. It may be far fetched, you don't see too many celebrities do a complete 180 like this, but if he acts on his words it would totally change my perception of him. Used to be a big fan growing up in the 80s, but his actions in the 90s and 00s just made me shake my head. He could change his whole legacy and the way people remember him by going out the right way.

MIKE TYSON REPEATEDLY PUNCHES MAN ON PLANE ...
Bloodies Passenger's Face

The witness tells us Mike took a selfie with him ... and then was patient with his overly excited buddy, who kept trying to talk to the 55-year-old fighter as he sat behind him.

Eventually, though, we're told Tyson had enough of the guy behind him talking in his ear ... and told him to chill. When the guy didn't, that's when the witness says Tyson started to throw several punches at the man's face.

Former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson won't be charged in plane incident with video showing him striking passenger

Mike Tyson won't be charged in connection with an incident on an airplane last month, the San Mateo County (California) District Attorney announced Tuesday.

"We have reviewed the police reports of the San Francisco Police Department and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office and have viewed the various videos collected by law enforcement from others on the airplane," District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said. "Our decision is that we will not file any charges against Mr. Tyson based on the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

"These include the conduct of the victim leading up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the victim, as well as the requests of both the victim and Mr. Tyson that no charges be filed in this case."

Just sayin': Regardless that the guy was drunk and provoked Tyson; Tyson threw the first punch and all the others for that matter. Tyson is really lucky the guy doesn't want to press charges an/or sue him......
