Mirror Lake Jump (official thread)

Have to say, never seen anything like it. No way in fucking hell you were catching my ass anywhere near the water, but it was still a powerful scene to take in. Upsides? Lots of girls in bikinis who are too insane with the cold to get sick of the, "Aren't you chilly?" joke; probably the only time you'll ever see 2,000 people scratching and clawing to have a chance to jump into a pond full of liquid duck shit. Downsides? Lots of dudes in Speedos (or nothing at all), some of whom are fat, all of whom are morons, running by screaming and trying to rub some of said liquid duck shit off on the sleeve of your jacket; muddy; no booze; freezing fucking cold outside. Like I said, it was definitely a sight to see. In my five years actually enrolled, I'd never seen it, and I'm glad I finally did. The ultimate goal, though (and I think most will agree), appeared to be 'to do something completely illadvised simply to be able to say you'd done it'. Props to those who had the balls to jump in that cess pool, and don't worry - I'm sure they'll grow back.

This will be my third year in a row going. The atmosphere is too awesome to miss it. I might even drag daddyphatsacs old ass down there this year. It's going to get wild.

It'll be my third year as well, and things turned out nicely the first two times I jumped in so I'm hoping for similar results this year.

as i said last year props for carrying on the tradition. that night was probably the craziest thing i saw while i was in school. you try to describe it to people from other schools and they just don't get it. that youtube video will come in handy for showing people what it's really like down there.
