Turns out it was not a tornado; somebody mistakenly opened Tony LaRussa's old locker.

Biogenesis scandal set to boil over
We could be on the verge of the biggest drug bust in sports history

Since the day in January when the name "Biogenesis" first appeared in the vocabulary of baseball, we've been waiting for this news, this story, this headline:

BASEBALL SEEKS TO SUSPEND (FILL IN THE NAME)

Well, now we can fill in those blanks, can't we? With the names of Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun, just for starters. But that's not all. The only reason to stop at those two names is that the rest won't fit in a single headline.

What ESPN's T.J. Quinn, Mike Fish and Pedro Gomez are reporting is the list of players who face possible suspensions is actually much longer than the dynamic duo of Braun and A-Rod.

And if you believe the rumor mill, Braun and A-Rod might not even be the biggest names on that list. But we're getting way ahead of ourselves on that front.

This could really damage A-Rod's popularity ...

As a Brewers fan, this is really disappointing to keep having Braun's name come up in connection with this shit.

But the MLB better be careful here. They're getting into bed with a bad dude to get dirt on their own players. Bosch is broke, desperate and fearing litigation. MLB sues him, and he agrees to cooperate, perhaps for "immunity". They're going all in on this, and they might want to be sure they can make it stick.

If it wasn't for the chain of custody defense they had his ass dead to rights the last time.

If he beats the rap he beats it but lets not confuse getting off on a technicality with exoneration.

His testosterone levels were sky high now that is either because A) he took a PED or B) the lab tech had an axe to grind and doctored the results

I'm going with A but I'm a cynical bastard so tifwiw.

I think he's guilty too, but I was just talking about the entire group of players in general. Bud is wading into some deep shit here.

A-Rod has pulled down over $350M in earnings over his career. Factor in his gains on real estate, investments, and endorsements and he's probably worth over half a billion.

So my question is: How fucking dumb does he have to be to trust what was left of his tattered credibility to some shady schmoe that's running his business out of a suite at a repurposed Comfort Inn?

YOU ARE FUCKING ALEX RODRIGUEZ. If you're going to dabble in the roids pay several million to hire your own personal mad scientist to cook your cocktails and tell him you'll have him shot and dumped off a yacht in South Beach if he rats you out.

Note to professional athletes with hundreds of millions to burn: Don't put your first ballot HoF career in the hands of whack jobs with nothing to lose that run "laboratories" from strip malls.

This whole investigation hinges on how MLB is going to go about it. Is Bosch going to take the stand and swear an oath and testify verbally or is he going to produce documents, signatures, cancelled checks, credit card receipts, log books, scheduled dates etc?

I would hope that MLB is smart enough not to take anyone's word at face value and have some sort of documentation to corroborate their allegations.
