My Kid Got in Trouble In School

My youngest came home today in tears. She got in trouble for sneaking up on other kids and aiming a magnifying glass their hands.

One kid apparently didn't react fast enough and it left a mark. Teachers and principal are a little bent out of shape over it.

She knows she's in pretty big trouble, and is even more upset that I'm not running into the school to defend her. She knew what she was doing would hurt the other kids and did it anyway. Sorry, I can't defend that.

Good work on your part. Now the lesson learned is not that the teachers answer to Mom/Dad, but that it's a team effort.
