National Chaampionship Hopes

These are all interesting points.... If I could summarize:

Popularity Contest:
1. The media has a rock solid woody for USC. No debating this one.
2. I think the media is a bit turned on by Texas (Vince Young) and Louisville (the Cinderella team with high powered offense).
3. I think the media doesn't care too much for the Buckeyes, although I don't think it's as bad as it used to be. Tressel gets a ton of good publicity, the defense is constantly praised, and Ginn/Holmes/Smith are all talked about quite frequently.
Result: OSU ranks 4th out of 4

Strength of Loss:
1. If Louisville loses, they're a non-issue. End of story.
2. Texas would most likely lose to Oklahoma, Texas A&M, or the BIG 12 championship game. All 3 are high profile teams (I know, Oklahoma sucks monkey cranks), but still they're better than...
3. the team that USC would lose to. Cal? Ask Texas Tech how good Cal is. ASU? Oregon? If USC loses, it will be to a team that would fall in the bottom tier of the Big 10 or Big 12.
4. OSU lost to the #2 team in the nation, and Texas will most likely stay in the top 5.
Result: OSU ranks 1st out of 4

Timing of Loss:
1. Let's hope Texas loses the Big 12 Championship game. After Oklahoma's mess of a finish to the 2003 season, I doubt if the Big 12 loser will be in the title game again. That would be a joke.
2. USC plays Cal on November 12th. And UCLA on December 3rd. Both of those are VERY late in the year. Those would be great times to stumble.
3. OSU would have big wins over Iowa, Penn State, and Minnesota by then.
Result: OSU ranks 1st out of 4.

Head-to-Head
1. Only one to talk about is the obvious, and I still don't feel like talking about it. The only positive note is the game was a very competitive game that would be a great prequel to a championship game.

Basically, I still have a GREAT feeling that if OSU wins out, we just need USC to lose.

What should it be? Will it work better at higher or lower? What do you have yours set at? Have you ever had trouble with it before?

:! These questions mean I can't navigate either:!

I have a widescreen laptop, so my current resolution is 1280x800. My work resolution is 1280x1024. It looks fine on both of those. My girlfriends is probably 1024x768 and she says its messed up.
