NBA Discussion (Official Thread)

Oh its hilarious. A 4 time all star who averaged 25/12 last year signing on a MLE to a team that was already likely going to storm to another title is just hilariously absurd though.

I get it but there’s a reason this league is a joke... why just have every punch line possible.

In all honesty I will be interested to see how Adam Silver fixes this if the PA allows it. He’s seemingly considered the best of the big 4 right now so that will be interesting to watch at least

unless he knows he is close to the end and wants a shot at a title. in that respect....much different than KD.

Cousins will be 28 years old when the season starts. Achilles recovery or not, the guy wasn’t going to be hanging them up any time soon.

Unlike Durant, Cousins had to waste 7 years of his life being a beast surrounded by bums in Sacramento. He's going to miss part of the season, so a 1 year deal to prove he's back - and actually win - doesn't seem like a bad plan before pursuing a max deal.

Risk/Reward for Cousins. Achilles recovery even he could have probably gotten a decent chunk of change multi year from someone. If he plays half a season, looks good, gets a cheap ring....even bigger pay day next year. He could always bomb but GSW have no reason to rush him back. Im confident he will be 100% rolling when they do decide to stick him in.

GSW literally have nothing to lose here. Even if he didnt work out, its a 1 year deal and theyll likely still win it all anyway.
