i was a ps2 guy until this time last year when i switched over to xbox360 for ncaa 2007.....although 2007 was really disappointing with the game play...not having all the perks like editing players equipment...and screwing up osu's helmets and facemasks..i could tell that it was going to be awesome in future ncaa titles when they had time to get everything in.....i think this year we see the payoff for the 360 and ncaa football...i think the ps3 will be much like the 360 was last year...my advice would be to go with the 360 now and play the game on that....you wont be disappointed....360 has more titles...grand theft and halo 3 exclusively...i swore i would not leave sony but the 360 is prety damn awesome..i might get a ps3 down the road but the 360 is really kicking ass right now

So probably a lot of you just saw the commercial, with Boise State and Oklahoma? (It played during the all-star game.) What was up with that? Are they showing Oklahoma beating Boise State? That doesn't make sense to me.

That commercial was BOMB.

It's just showing, you know, that you have control; You are the player, you control the outcome blah blah blah.

The demo for Xbox 360 came out yesterday. It's 2 minute quarters on varsity level, with scUM at USC, and you can play as either team. The download took me about 15 minutes yesterday.

My early review is that I'm impressed. There are a few negatives that people have pointed out on other sites, such as too many fumbles, but overall the feel of the game is solid. I particularly like the onside kickoffs now, where the meter is different from normal kickoffs, and you can choose whether you want to kick high on the ball to generate topspin or low to try and pooch it into the air.

I've also read by people that have played the game at EA studios over the past several weeks, that the demo is an older build and the final product should be even better.

Just wait until Assassains Creed, Lair, Strangelhold, Gran Turismo, and/or Heavenly Sword come out. Plus the PS2 carry overs like Manhunt, Devil May Cry and God of War hit next year. PS3 games will shortly be here soon with NCAA08 holding me over until October when the big games drop. This is an exciting time for PS3 faithful, the rest of the year is big drop after big drop.

Apparently the 99 overall LE for Michigan is true. EA moved a LB to the DE spot....which anybody who has done that in previous games knows it inflates his overall rating. Way to be lazy, EA.

Yes, and the worst part is that it is Brandon Graham. Now, I know that he was the top recruit in the state of Michigan last year, but there is no way that somebody that wasn't even good enough to start last year should even be anywhere near an 88, let alone 99.
