They've actually got a decent team this year--they're 1-4 in conference but of those 4 losses:

- 31 point loss @OSU, but we saw last night they rebounded well from that when the two teams played in Lincoln
- 10 point loss @Iowa -- not a bad result as Iowa is a good team this year
- 6 point loss @Purdue -- close loss on the road suggests they should win when the two teams play in Lincoln
- 1 point loss vs. Michigan -- Nebraska should've won that one

That hasn't been the easiest beginning to the Big Ten schedule, and with two games against each of Indiana, NW, Illinois, and Penn State, along with home games against Minnesota and Purdue, I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska ends up at or above .500 in conference play this year.

Nebraska this year is a legitimate Big Ten team. They aren't the patsy that they had been the past couple of years. Clearly the talent level has been upgraded in a major way there. The players are bigger, more athletic, and there's better depth. Tim Miles has them headed in the right direction, don't be surprised if they make the tourney at some point within the next few years.

Terran Petteway has been an outstanding find for Nebrasketball. They have him for two more seasons, so I see the team getting better and better. By the time he's a senior I'd think he is likely to be first-team all-B1G.

Nebraska 60, Sparty 51 at Breslin. Petteway led the Huskers with 23.

Nebraska senior Mike Peltz proposes on Senior Night (VIDEO)

Mike-Peltz-Nebraska-basketball-proposal.jpg

Senior Night was already set to be a memorable night for Nebraska Cornhuskers guard Mike Peltz. But playing in his last game at Pinnacle Bank Arena wasn’t enough, Peltz also proposed to his girlfriend Shelby Campbell during pre-game festivities.

Also see video: http://network.yardbarker.com/colle...nksrc=story_article_yb_original_head_15965524

Based on the facts: (A little internet research reveals) that Shelby was holding the couple’s baby, which was born on November 30th and she looked excited; I think she said......

YES......

Very nice win by the Huskers over Bucky last night but you had thought they just won the NCAA tournament. The fan enthusiasm during the game was awesome and it is too bad that we did not build a similar arena for our basketball program because the way that arena is configured it just makes the place easier to be loud.
